And if you could live in any time period in history- which would it be?

I've managed pretty well to do the things I want to do. But with that, you should know that there isn't a lot I want to do. I like life simple.

Living in the present works for me. I would love to be able to go back to a variety of time periods for a day, or maybe a week, but no more.

I have no regrets.

You're going to be terribly disappointed, rpu3, cuz I'm not a traveler nor do I have a desire to be one, so I don't have any exoctic story to tell.

I like a good bed and nice sheets, so my best trips included good bedding: a down comforter about 12 inches thick in Germany, and a beautiful hotel while on a Swingers Board Meet Up in Indianapolis.

I don't care for tourists or tourist spots. I prefer being in the wilderness to the city. My ideal trip would be visiting friends in another part of the U.S. who live in the country on a ranch or farm or in the woods. And of course, they'd have a wonderful bed waiting for me.

Actually, that's a picture of the side yard, the smallest part of the yard. Our property is narrow and long and totals 10 acres of mostly timber that runs for miles in three directions. We are happy to own a small part of it. We have a pond beyond our back yard which spills out to the ravine and makes its way through the woods to a creek about a mile back, and the creek water makes it's way three miles down to the river, and on and on to the big blue sea.

Thrax, our yard and property is very private and you'd feel right at home here nekkid. MrLM and I take have spent plenty of time having fun outside nude in the evening under a full moon when the weather is warm.

It would be easier to tell you what I don't care for than to tell you what my favorite flower is...

I don't like Easter lilies because they remind me of death and religion and they smell foul.

Roses are beautiful, but I'm not a "dozen roses" kind of gal.

If someone gave me a gift of flowers the best they could do would be to take me to a garden full of all kinds of flowers - including wildflowers and natural grasses (even weeds) - and let me pick an armful. Then I'd bring them inside and arrange them myself. I find flower arranging so calming and it's a creative momemt...I'm always looking for those.

It is a favorite picture of mine, too. But I decided to remove it to provide me greater discretion.

This is a hard one because I'm not frivolous by nature so I can't come up with a thing from the past - although I'm sure there are examples if I could only remember them.

Something I would like to do on the spur of the moment is pack a small bag, grab my credit card and some cash and jump in the car and drive, drive, drive, with no destination in mind. I'd come home when I felt ready, which could be in three days or three months.

I'll do that some day.

I don't find it difficult, and like sharing with people. The thing about sharing is that I decide how much I want to share, whether on this Board or any other forum. Also, in person I choose how much about myself I want to divulge.

I'm not the type of person who wants people dropping by my house unannounced, I am careful about the information I give out and don't give anything to solicitors (they can be very clever about getting info from people; not with me), I like time by myself and don't want other people around me too often or for too long.

People often say "you can never have too many friends" but I would disagree. Too much of anyone (or anything) can get too close for comfort for me.

I immediately thought back to my childhood when reading this.

All through school I was quiet. I didn't speak up in class for fear of having the wrong answer or saying something that would sound stupid. I wished I would have said what was on my mind.

In gradeschool - a parochial school - I was especially fearful of speaking up because I saw so many mean boys who would say and do horrible things to other students. I can remember wanting to defend those who were being terribly treated by these boys. I wish I had said something, and even more than speak up, I would have loved to swing a fist at them. It would have been well worth the broken hand I would have no doubt walked away with, and had I been expelled it would have been a bonus because I'd have gotten out of that hell hole.

Overcoming fear has such rewards. Thankfully I feel I've done that. There really aren't fears that encumber me anymore.
