This week's Member of the Week is LFM2. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Tuesday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosey, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Try to ask only one question (or group of questions) per post, to make it easier for the interviewee to answer the questions, and also to allow for others to ask their questions.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional.

We're a couple.

Holly does. Dave's posted a couple times, but usually signs his name if and when he does. Dave reads the posts if I'm reading and always comes in late and asks, "What's the question?" "What'd they say???" "Well, you tell 'em..."

Age(s):
Holly is 45 and Dave is almost 51.

Birthday(s):
Holly's is December 23rd and Dave's is May 1st.

Location:
Our primary house is in Southeast, Idaho. We have a summer house in a little area near Wyoming, close to Jackson. You can usually find us there between May and the end of October.

Relationship status:
Met on a BAD blind date; have been married for 24 years.

Swinging for how long?:
For two years.

Prefer to swing with:
We love swinging with couples and singles. We're still looking for the FFM or FMF.

Biggest Pet Peeve:
Fake people, dishonesty, people who don't take accountability for their actions, and people who think they look better by making others look bad.

Brief Intro:
We have three: our oldest daughter is 27, second daughter is 23 and our son is 18. He is the only one still at home. We're so close to being empty nester's.

Holly comes from a family of 9 kids, Dave comes from a family of 11 kids.

We simply adore each other and spend as much time as possible with each other. We've never gone a day without saying "I love you". Our kids think we're "sick".

We have the same interests and hobbies such as camping in a real tent, horses, fishing, and making horse stuff like cinches, headstalls and reins.

We're very close in age to you, and are also looking forward to being empty nesters (in a way, but know I'll really miss them).

What are your dreams for when you retire?

Our holidays are quite quiet, really. Most of his family still lives in California except for three brothers who live so close, if we threw a rock, we could hit their houses. We all decided to live out in the middle of nowhere.

Mine are about an hour away.

The one holiday we do get together for is 4th of July. It's a huge shindig at the summer house where tents cover the lawn and people bring their 5th wheel trailers and boats. It lasts for about a week and it's a party the whole week through.

Dave's close to his siblings, but I think I'm closer to mine. Of course, that means brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well. Besides the 4th of July party, we get together every once in a while and go to Jackpot, NV, or whatever to just hang out. We love being together and enjoy the closeness of our family.

It was the WORST! He was 27 and I was 21 when we met on this horrible blind date. We were set up by some mutual friends who he happened to cowboy with and I was living part-time in the same house as one of his cowboy friends along with his girlfriend (who was also a best friend of mine). They decided to have a party one night and told me there was someone I just had to meet. (Uh huh!) So, one of our mutual friends had to go get him out of his bunk house and lo and behold, they bring him to where the party's at.

Dave bursts through the door and they actually have a rope tied around his neck to hold him back. He's drunk, loud and OBNOXIOUS!! Picture in your mind the nastiest, grossest, cute drunk person you can. That's him. I looked at Jay, our friend who set us up and said in a most ladylike fashion, "You Son-of-a-bitch, you set me up with this?" I turned around and began to walk off.

Jay and Dave laugh, and Dave takes the rope off his neck, bends over and proceeds to bite me on the ass. (this is no joke, folks) Well, I lost my balance and fell into the fireplace that was in the living room. So, things had gone from bad to worse obviously. Hours later, I'm standing in the kitchen, my hands still under cool water to soothe the burns and he's sobered up. He comes in the kitchen to apologize and asks when we can go out on a real date. I laughed, "When hell freezes over, fella". I drove all the way home (an hour and a half) that night to my apartment.

He called the next day, all day long, and the day after that, and the day after that... He kept asking me to go out and I kept saying no. He then had my best friend talk to me and tell me he was really sorry and to just give him one more chance. So I did. He was supposed to pick me up at seven. By nine that night, I figured the date wasn't gonna happen since he'd never shown up. I hear a knock on the door at 11. Yes, it was really him saying he was helping a friend brand calves and he'd lost track of time. He smelled of beer.

When I told him to go back to the ranch, I didn't need that kind of boyfriend, he left my doorstep, but he didn't leave. He slept in his truck, which was just outside my apartment door, and when I walked out to get the paper the next morning, he was standing by it. I couldn't stand the sad face, so I invited him in for coffee and breakfast. We spent the entire day talking... and all evening. We finally got to go out for a nice dinner. He really was nothing like the ass who showed up on the original blind date. Obviously, I fell in love. I was the one that asked him to marry me.

HI Mrs. D. Have I told you how much we love your picture?

We're not sure what we're going to do when we retire. We've talked about moving back to Montana where we used to live and our last two kids were born. We've talked about moving to Nevada. Dave has a job that will allow him to transfer to just about anywhere as long as there's a job for him. We might just stay where we are and travel. Dave's always wanted to go to Scotland (and I admit I wouldn't mind going, myself!)

We love our kids more than words can say, and I'm sure you feel the same way about your kids. As parents, we all want the best for them and want them to have more than we did. Well, one thing we don't want is to have them move back in with us. LOL... If they do, oh well, but we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Dave wants to run around naked when they're all gone and not have to worry about which kid might see him.

He's such a nudist, it's cute.

Ok... I posted a pic of us in our profile. I have no idea if it worked or not because, if I click on CP, I don't see the pic, but it's there if I want to edit our profile pic. Does that make sense?

Yeah, Dave still drinks. He's not obnoxious at all now. I think he was just trying to impress me. We both like our beer and good wine. It's funny though that we hardly ever drink at parties. LOL

I went back to school about 6 years ago, taking a class here and there so I could continue working, for my RN. I've been an LPN for about 15 years. I graduate in about 4 months. I'm going full time now, so it's pretty busy.

We both have the same tastes in wine.

We both love a good merlot. We like mixed reds or table wines, and a good burgundy.

He likes cabs but doesn't bring them home because there is just something about them in my taste. I just haven't figured that out yet. I like a good pinot grigio. I cook with a lot of wine and sometimes I even put it in my food.

Gator and I do NOT have the same taste in wine. We do in beer though.

I just can't get over the large familes. I have 3 sisters and it can be difficult keeping up with all of them and their families at times. Just thinking about keeping up with the lives of that many siblings tires me out.

We spent a good part of the weekend watching movies. It can be challenging at times to pick out one we are all 4 going to like. The genre this weekend leaned toward horor. Tech and I like them, Gator is really coming around in that area and Kitten picks and chooses carefully which she will try to watch with us. So, I was wondering...what kind of movies do the two of you like?

Dave loved growing up in a large family so much that he told me when we married that he wanted at least 10 kids. I didn't say a thing. He changed his mind when he had to live through two pregnancies with me. In fact, he had his vasectomy before our last child was even born. He said it was something about my head spinning around and my eyes glowing red. I'm not sure what he's talking about, but oh well....

Since we both come from ranching backgrounds, we tend to lean toward the Western genres. Tom Selleck, Sam Elliot, Tommy Lee Jones, Robert Duval and other classic men who've played cowboys. We watch Tombstone once or twice a week, at least. We know we're not normal, but that's OK.

We love comedies, dramas, action, and a little sci-fi, too. Our son loves Horror, so we're treated to those once in a while. Have you seen Disturbia yet? That one was pretty darn good.

I love watching the classics, like State Fair, old Cary Grant and Doris Day movies. Dave rolls his eyes at my choices, but doesn't say a word. Isn't that a good man?

Disturbia was one of the ones we watched this weekend. Tombstone is a great movie. We watch all kinds really. With me, it sometimes depends on my mood. We have quite a movie gallery. Gator and I tend to wait on the movie to come out on DVD and then buy it. We started that when the boys were still willing to go to the movies with us. It could be expensive. The DVD is still no more than 2 movie tickets and we own it and can watch it whenever we like.
