Yes Julie, it did. When we were in our early 20's we had some friends that were a little older than us. Two couples. We are thinking about five years older, that we hung out with. By us having kids we just kind of hung out with them more since our old class mates and other friends didn't have kids. Birds of a feather We suppose. Two couples that were swingers, but looking back we really didn't realize this in a way. All the signs were there but by them being good swingers they never pushed anything, it was obvious they were swingers though. We feel maybe we were either naive to it or just didn't want to take the steps then. Then we all drifted away in life from one another, but those were some of the best friends we had in those days. No drama, no jealousies just good friends to party with. That would have been the early 80's and we didn't know anything about a lifestyle called swinging. We spent allot of years watching so many people split up. Our friends and even family, that couldn't work things out. We just couldn't see that. Even our worst problems always worked out in time. We were just different. It was hard to have friends. It made sense to us, the couple I was referring to in the beginning.

Then as we grew older ourselves we realized many things that we did miss out on. Like dating anyone besides ourselves for one, and yes sex with other people. We rented pornos just like most couples and our fantasies while we were watching them were, instead of wishing we (were them) or were having sex with them, we just wished we could be in the same room with them. That seemed different to us. So with that and the new Internet. The man was surfing away with finding more about the lifestyle, something or some way to put it all together. We had jealousies to explore and understand just like most folks but we searched for the communication skill the lifestyle had to offer. It was a shame we couldn't pick up with our old friends that were there in the beginning.


Everything has come along way and its cool so many people feel the same way we do. We just look at life like we should not leave anything we can discover about ourselves not ventured.

1.Don't give up on one another so easily.
2.Listen, and be heard.
3.You can love one another more. Its possible.
