This week's Member of the Week is Menage_a_Trois. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Tuesday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosey, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Thank you for asking us! Here is info on the basic questions:

Age(s): Mr. Menage is 45, Mrs. Menage is 31 and The Other Mrs. Menage is 44

Birthday(s): Mr. Menage is January 15, & The Other Mrs. Menage is December 29 – making them both Capricorns and Mrs. Menage is September 24 making her a Libra (and the upcoming Birthday Girl!)

Location: Reno, NV

Relationship status: Mr. and Mrs. Menage have been married for 10 years and living with The Other Mrs. Menage for over a year. We are a triad and we live like a marriage between three people.

Swinging for how long?: Mr. & Mrs. Menage almost 10 years and The Other Mrs. Menage for 2 ½ years

The Other Mrs. Menage - People who are open minded enough to be a Swinger BUT refuses to understand or accept our relationship.


Brief Intro: Mrs. Menage is currently a student studying to become an Accountant, she is an avid collector of porcelain dolls and Seraphim Angels, she LOVES horror/slasher movies (she is completely alone on this one), she enjoying reading and she is domestic in so far as she lives in a house. Ok her Angel food cake and deviled eggs are the bomb but we won’t discuss the rest……

Mr. Menage is a fine art photographer (artist and has the artistic moods too!), he is beyond an avid football fan (Mr. & Mrs. Menage have FORCED The Other Mrs. Menage to actually wear a COLTS Jersey……….). Some of his hobbies include being a total gamer……..x-box, x-box 360, PS2 and a lot of the games that go with them…….he collects autographed sports memorabilia and photography books. He is a father of two and a grandfather on one very adorable grandson. And a great cook as well.

The Other Mrs. Menage is a Contracts Administrator (yes…..boring…..) who’s real passion is interior design. She has three grown children, twin girls and a son. She enjoys entertaining and cooking. If shopping could be a sport she would hold a gold medal. She is actually a hockey fan but wears the COLTS jersey to keep peace………..she loves to drag Mrs. Menage out dancing and loves music of all kinds.

We have two boxers at home, we all live together, we love to travel, entertain, and in general love life! But the best part is having found each other and the sense of being complete.

Welcome!! I am so glad you are in the spotlight. I think you will make one amazing interview.

Okay it looks like I could happily live with all three of you as I love horror/slasher movies, am an avid gamer and love hockey..lol.

So how did you all meet. FIrst as a coulple and then with the other Mrs. Menage?

And how did the children react to your unconventional lifestyle?

YAY!!! A new member of the week.
As I sit here and look through my finances, I was wondering how do finances work in a Triad.
How do you decide who pays for what? How do you divide up the rent/mortage, utilities, food, etc???

Also, a few less serious questions:
Favourite type of food or dish?
Favourite vacation spot?

We will try and keep this short! Mr. & Mrs. Menage met in Ohio while they were both working in a turkey processing plant of all places……..Can you say Gobble Gobble?.......Well let’s just say that line was anything but boring and one night Mr. Menage asked her to come over for dinner (yes he cooks!) and she never left (oh yeah it’s that good) and now the rest is history.

The Other Mrs. Menage had never even thought about having a relationship like this. We all met through the lifestyle and instantly clicked. We all realized that this was a special relationship forming here. We became great friends and we all quickly discovered that we wanted more than just friendship. Mr. & Mrs. Menage asked The Other Mrs. Menage over for the weekend and she never left (notice a pattern here?).

We now all live together. The easiest way to think of our relationship is that it is a marriage between the three of us. All equal and all sharing in everything.

BTW as an added side note his cooking isn’t the only thing that good!

Well to be honest we haven’t felt the need to really open that discuss up with them yet. Mr. Menage and The Other Mrs. Menage’s children are all grown and live back in the Midwest. What we have told them is that The Other Mrs. Menage is a roommate and we are all great friends. However we know at some point this will be addressed.

It didn’t take us long to realize pooling our resources together is what we were most comfortable with. We put all the money into one back account, we play all the bills and share what’s left.

Yes we are, very much so! Our relationship isn't one sided or in this case two sided. Some people say that their significant other is their "soul mate", well the three of us genuinely feel, that we have finally found our soul mates in each other. This may sound corny, but we complete each other. If it was legal for the three of us to be married, we would be.

Well on the TP issue - The Other Mrs. Menage prefers over (yes this has caused some "decisions"), Mr. Menage prefers under (and deliberately changes it on The Other Mrs. Menage just to get her goat!) and Mrs Menage personally doesn't care as long as there is TP on the roll.

Mrs. Menage is highly allergic to cats. We have two boxers, Buster and Gracie aka the babies.......see picture attached.

Pizza toppings - Mrs. Menage likes the super supremes, The Other Mrs. Menage likes her's pretty simple, pepperoni, sausage, hamburger or any combo of that and Mr. Menage is pepperoni, ham, sausage, bacon with bbq sauce for the sauce and extra cheese - aka the Porky Pizza.

What are the sleeping arrangements at your house? Does it change from night to night, or depending on who's got what going on? Or is it always the same?

Are you "out" to any of your vanilla friends?

Sounds like you guys have an amazing relationship. I'm curious as to how this came up initially. Was it something you guys all just knew right away or did it take one of you to suggest it?

This is the number one asked question for us by people. Amazingly enough we have never had an issue with this. We have a cal king in the master suite and a queen (actually more comfortable than the cal king!) in The Other Mrs. Menage’s room aka our quest room. Sometimes we all sleep together in the master suite, sometimes if one of us is extremely tired, or has an early morning for work or is sick we will just naturally fall into the guest room. Right now due to working schedules it really isn’t an issue for sleeping since one of us is on nights and sleeps during the day.

Yes to some and no to others. Primarily we are careful about people/relationships related to work. Otherwise we really don’t care. Lucky for us most of our really good friends, the people that matter most and are closest to us are swing lifestyle people themselves.
