This week's Member of the Week is playmatesinpgh. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Wednesday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosey, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice.

Location: Small town just south of Pittsburgh, PA.

Swinging for how long?: 3 years as a couple.

Biggest Pet Peeve: Have to think about this one!!!

Brief Intro: Mrs. P and I met online in 1998. I lived in San Francisco and she lived near Pittsburgh. After about 3 months of chatting online and on the phone, I flew out here to meet her face to face. Three months after that I moved here to be with the woman of my dreams and we have been together ever since. We actually tied the knot in June of 2004.

Mrs. P works in the world of finance. She also attends Robert Morris University and is just about to graduate with a BA in finance. I am retired after a long career in the wonderful world of retail management. (For all you in retail out there... You know how much fun that must have been :rollseyes ...)

No, neither one of us ever swung as a single. However, I did swing when I was in my twenties, with my first wife. It was those stories, about my swing experiences with the X, that got Mrs. P interested and curious about swinging.

me and my lady have had the same problem because of our age differences and to top it off when you do send out invites people are not courteous enough to send back a thanks but no thanks boy they don't know what they are missing.

This is a subject that comes up all the time, the whole age difference thing. When we first met online and I found out how old she was, I didn't think we would, or could, ever have anything in common. I had always wondered how people with such a big age difference could ever have any kind of meaningfull relationship other then some great, initial sex. But after talking online and then on the phone, we both discovered that we did, in fact, have much in common. Hell, I remember when my parents found out I was involved in a new relationship and they asked me how old she was, (she was 29 at the time and I was 47), they both just rolled their eyes :rollseyes and laughed. "Robbing the cradle..." they said. Well, all I can say now is... What a country!!!

Anyway, to actually answer your question Ves, we have found very little difficulty in finding and meeting couples. We have met couples of all ages online, at clubs, and at houseparties. For us, clubs and houseparties are the easiest places to meet other couples. At these functions, rarely does age even come up until well after conversation/flirtation is underway. And by that time, age just doesn't seem to matter to anyone... I think the reason is because we/they are somewhat physically attracted to each other by the time age is brought up and any concerns about it have become secondary. Now the online meets are totally different. The couples who are reading your profile have their own criteria on who they want to meet and, generally speaking, age is a big part of it. It's not that the difference in our age seemed to concern them, but the fact that I was over 50. When we put my actual age in our profile we seemed to get only couples in their mid to late 40's and older (not that we have any problem with couples in that age group... ) who either contacted us or responded after we wrote them. After a few months we changed my age to 50 and the contacts increased 3 or 4 fold. We just found, for whatever reason, 50 seemed to be the cutoff point for couples who were younger. And the funny part of it is, if we do end up meeting a particular couple face to face, just like at a club, the whole age thing becomes secondary.

Ever been to a nudist beach?

No, but we wouldn't mind going to one sometime.

What is the funniest swinging experience you have had?

It was the first time we tried playing on one of those sex swings at a club. There were four other couples in the room and Mrs. P and I just could not get things to work right... Everyone was trying to help out and give advice but we just couldn't do it and started to laugh uncontrolably...

We just bought a brand new game called Tittaltion. Actually we discovered it right here on the the Swingers Board, both in the stories section and on a couple of different threads. We haven't played it yet but it does look like alot of fun. We would play that to get things rolling. It is a board game that is a combination of strip poker and truth or dare. You play it by rolling dice and moving your game piece around the board. You do whatever the square tells you to do. There are also cards that give you commands.

Husband wants to know: favorite sport? favorite pro team?

We have two favorite sports... Baseball and Football. Mrs. P's favorite team in baseball is the SF Giants and in football, the Steelers. My favorite team in baseball is the Giants and in football, the 49ers. (I still have my two season tickets for the 49ers even though I have lived here since 98... How dumb is that!!! Actually my kids use them so they don't go totally to waste... I have had them since 1965 when my Dad and I started going.) We both also love to watch Nascar. Her favoite driver is Stewart (20) and mine is Jeff Gordon (24).

Biggest Pet Peeve:

You guys are going to think this is really dumb when you consider all the things wrong in the world but, what can I say... This is it...

The thing that irritates me, Mr. P, the most is the way people drive in the Pittsburgh area. I had never experienced anything like it and I have driven in virturally every major metropolitan area in the country. Let me tell you about some of the things that bug me. People who literally stop, that's right, STOP on freeway/parkway/turnpike entrances instead of merging in with the flow of traffic!!! Happens all the time here. People just stop and watch the pretty cars go by. And how about when you come to a tunnel??? When people come to a tunnel here, everyone slows down...And I mean WAY down!!! It's as though everyone is afraid enter! If I were afraid of the tunnel and had to go through it to get where I wanted to go, I would speed up so I could get through it faster. Wait a second... Now that I think about it, maybe everyone here just enjoys the tunnel experience and wants to make it last longer, like an orgasm... Yeah, that must be it. Thanks for letting me vent... I finally figured one out. And the people here are so polite when driving, its just makes me sick. For example, if two or more cars get to an intersection at the same time, with stop signs all around, God help you!!! You will be there forever because no one wants to be so rude as to cross the intersection first!!! They all just look at each other. You might as well just turn off the engine, get out of the car, and have coffee together while you get to know each other and maybe swing alittle right there in the middle of the street!!! You think I'm kidding? Well let me just invite you to the party!!! I remember the first time this intersection thing happened while I was driving and Mrs. P was in the car with me. She actually got mad because I said, "What are they waiting for!!!??? Fuck this..." and I went on through... She yelled at me and said I should have waited... I kid you not!!!

These are just some of the goofy habits the drivers have here that irritate me. Jan and Jim, thanks so much for asking me that question... I feel much better now. I think I'll go have an orgasm myself.

I know what you're saying about driving in Pittsburgh. I moved here in 1978 (I live about 5 miles south of the city center) and still must concentrate on curbing my road rage. I think the traffic is so bad here for two reasons. One is that the terrain is very difficult with all the hills, valleys, rivers, bridges, and such to navigate. It's even a rarity -- as you know -- to have streets meet at right angles. The second thing is that we have one of the highest percentages of elderly in the nation living here. And a lot of them are damn independent. They'll keep driving until their licenses are pulled from their cold, dead hands.

Yes, the drivers are bad here, but one place beats Pittsburgh, and that is Washington, DC. You have millions of people from all over the U.S., well, the world, driving there. Only half the people know where they are going.
