Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Wednesday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. We are a young(er) couple who are very much in love with each other and have had limited (although fantastic) experiences in this lifestyle. We have no children but have two cats who think they qualify... :rollseyes

If you ever broke up as a couple, would you swing alone?

No, neither of us would. But I have learned to never say never.

And why or why not?

Simply put, we are totally in this for the togetherness, the biggest turn on is to see the other's enjoyment so knowing that, somehow, it just wouldn't be as much fun... Although the idea of being a unicorn is somewhat appealing to me, I am not so sure that it would meet my expectations. But he is adamant that he would not even attempt to be a single swinger male, as it is just too wrought with frustration in his views...

How did you come to choose to swing?

I (the Mrs.) actually saw a website (AFF originally) and was turned on by the possibilities so I sat down and Mr. and I had a good heart to heart. We have basically been on the same page since the beginning and boy am I happy that we are!

Who's idea was it?

The Mrs.

What is your favorite (sexual) position ?

Her: Rear entry ( not anal, just wanted to be couth and not call it Doggy...but too late now...)

Him: Female on top.

How do you feel about vanilla vs. choclolate?

Her: I love them both equally, if it is ice cream. Coffee flavors I have to go with Mocha as opposed to French Vanilla and candy bars are chocolate all the way!

Him: Chocolate, definitely.

What is your favorite movie?

Her:This is actually pretty embarrassing, but I HAVE to be honest (twelve step movie program will be calling soon...) Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews rocks!)

Him: Any of the Star Wars movies, but he loves Gone in 60 Seconds, Coyote Ugly, Saving Private Ryan and many, many more...

What are you currently reading ( beside the board...lol)?

Her: Bag of Bones by Stephen King

Him: The TV Guide Channel (lol) Not much of a reader these days!

Describe your ideal female and male play partner.

I will answer for both on this cause it is the same...
Our ideal would be for both to be secure with themselves and confident, but not vain or cocky. They must have a sense of humor and not take things too seriously and be someone we could hang out with if all wanted too (although, not necessary anymore to us...)
The female would be someone who is bi or bi curious and not afraid to speak up and let us all know what is important to her. Obviously communication.
The male would be straight or straight-friendly (is there such a thing....I think I may have made that one up...) And also someone who we both respect and like as a human being (oh liking to dance doesn't hurt either!) Again for both, we like a level of sensuality that is not as common as I thought it would be, but we have been lucky so far.

How long did you both discussed before you decided get into the lifestyle?

Well, we talked about it on a Friday and by Sunday we had adds on like three different sites! But, we are still discussing certain aspects and probably always will...mostly cause I am not done talking until he is beating his head against the wall to shut me up...just kidding, but I over-analize anything that impacts our relationship, so he is used to it...

What are your worst experinece of swinging, if any?

Not technically a bad swing experience, but I think it qualifies...
It was the first couple who we talked to actually...it was on yahoo mssgr and was the male half of a couple who lived in the area, not too close thank god... Well we were chatting and he basically was disagreeing with everything we said and being confrontational (which we don't care for at all, of course)and the next thing I know he is sending us naked pics of he and his wife asking if we would like "some of that". I was disgusted with his lack of any type of class whatsoever and ended the conversation politely and asked them not to contact us again...

What are you best experinece?

It was our first time actually.We met a great couple at a house party, they were fun, sexy and friendly, we all hit it off and things just went sooo smoothly. It was like it was meant to happen that way and we are still in touch with them and plan to get together again...I think we all hope it wasn't a fluke!

And finally what is the best quality you both like in each other?

Her: His best quality is definitely his patience with me in general, I am sorta high maintenence (hyper and will drive ya crazy if you let me..) he is just so sweet with me even when he is obviously irritated with me...

Him: Her best quality is her ability to make me laugh, she will just come out of nowhere with something off the wall and stun you when you don't expect it!

You mentioned being together for 6 years but knowing each other since HS. What was your relationship in HS? And since I'm assuming you weren't dating then, how did it go from that to what it is now?

No, neither of us has, however, he says he would love to go, I on the other hand, love clothing too much to just up and go nekkid... :rollseyes Actually, I would have to say a tentative maybe....

Do you plan on having children?

We have tried unsuccessfully since we have been together and found out after many trial and error doctors (and specialists) visits, that for many reasons, we are unable to conceive (or carry) our own children....
But maybe sometime down the road we will be able to adopt if we are ever finacially stable enough to do so....but we are still actively trying to conceive, since that is the fun part anyways, we don't really mind at all...

Do you prefer going to a swinger club to swing or do you prefer to make friends first and then pursue swinging with the other couple?

At first we were all about the making friends first and then pursuing the swinging part (and kinda still are to a certain degree), but we have realized that the clubs and parties hold more potential (and you can still have the friendships if you so choose...) So I will have to go with clubs more so than anything. Seems to promote less drama as well....

Both! Actually, I think we prefer (if we have to pick one) Full swap, same room...

Football and Hockey are the favs, but he is a walking "Sportscenter", so will watch just about anything if it is on!!! I chose the "if ya can't beat em, join em" route and will happily watch football, and tolerate the Hockey....

Wow, fantastic question!!! I hope I respond correctly, as this could probably be easily misconstrued (by me at least! )
Her: Probably Never-never land! from "Peter Pan"
Him: Definitely anything medieval or the like..."The Hobbit", or "Robin Hood"...

Say you lost power in your house for a week how would you cope and how would you entertain yourselves?

We have had this happen actually!!! Hurricane on the east coast....
We played a lot of board games and cards by candlelight. Those actually were pretty interesting since we made our own rules.... We also talked A LOT and learned that the BBQ grill can be your best friend in times like those...I am a total witch without my morning coffee, so he rigged up a solution and viola, right as rain, I was!!!

Who is your favorite artist?

I assume you mean as in fine art, not musically...(I hope)

Her: D.Morgan (I am not sure if this is a regional artist or what, but the work is fantastic, if a bit commercialized. She (He?) does a lot of art with poetry and I have recieved some as gifts. They are soft pastels and I find them very attractive!)

Him: Art? Unless there is a football or a naked woman involved, I can't answer this....I really couldn't tell ya much about art.....sorry...

Who is your favorite politician?

Both: There is no such thing.... :rollseyes We both feel that the better of two evils is probably the closest you will get as an answer from either of us... Surrender

They are paneled in a dark wood, we both hate them!! But we are renting right now, so not much we can do about them...

2. What famous person would you both like to have lunch with?

Her: If she were alive, Mother Theresa...I have sooo much respect for that woman and I am in total awe of her life.
Him: Sandra Bullock (need I explain why?)

3. Do you drink wine?

Her: YES! I love white wine and am hoping to become a wine taster someday (just for the fun of it!!!)

Him: Not at all....one time had a really bad experience with a red and can't get past it enough to actually drink the stuff....

4. What makes you (female) feel sexy?

So many things...a subtle flirt from someone I find attractive, a wink or a compliment from my man, a new outfit or lingerie, the way my hubby looks at me sometimes and I just "know" what he is thinking! There really are too many to list, hope that covers some of it!

5. (Male) What makes a woman look sexy?

Confidence and a smile!

Hey Julie, thanks for asking! This is one of my favorite things to talk about!!!

Well, I will give you the shortest version I know how to give so, I hope I don't take up four pages or anything!! Surrender

We just barely knew each other in HS, really. We were in the same grade but did not meet until our Senior year as I went to the public school until then and then transferred my Senior year to the Technical HS for my last year.

I was engaged to be married to a man seven years older than myself (obviously not a great plan as we split three years later...but that is a whole new thread... :rollseyes ) I also had to cram three years of my chosen field into one so I was REALLY busy that year and hardly remember anyone from that time period of my life...Apparantly (I do not remember this) but he asked me out like four times that year and I said no since I was commited to my future ex-husband at the time...but he and I did hang out in the same circle of people that year and were very friendly (I do remember that he flirted with me A LOT!).

Fast forward to four 1/2 years later, I had been seperated from my ex for almost two years and was working a PT job at a customer service booth at our local mall around Christmas time....he came through the line to get a gift certificate and said "I remember you!" we talked for a second and then he left as I was getting busy. So thinking I would never see him again, I wrote him off figuring we might see each other at our class reunion, if I ever went to one!

I had made plans that very night with a couple friends to go out on the town and we ended up in this great "honkey tonkin" bar and there he was!!!!! I was stunned! We flirted and chatted each other up all night and have been together ever since then!!!

Obviously this is the condensed version, but you get the drift, it really seemed to us both that everything, right down to the years we didn't even barely remember each other, were destined to happen. We both agree that had we dated in HS it probably wouldn't have worked out for many reasons, but boy did we learn a lot in between and we both feel that made us "ready" for the fantastic, healthy relationship we now have!!!

WOW love your story ... Funny how things turn out:

Met my husband in college, I was going out with a friend (John) of his and my roomate (Karen) was going out with him (Kieth). We had our BIG Winter Carnival Dance Weekend etc. and Kieth, was supposed to pick up my roomate after his hockey game (before they wore face shields/guards) but didnt show up. Kieth never showed up, John came by to take me out to dinner then to the dance. I was having my period didn't feel like going out so my roomate went with my boyfriend to go out and about.

Sitting in my room drinking a glass of wine which broke, I got cut and my the RA in our dorm took me to the local hospital for stitches in my hand, AND GUESS WHO I SAW IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM Kieth who was in the process of getting stiches ... so we were able to be in the same room getting stiches by the same doctor ... Kieith & I have been together ever since

PS we have been swinging with Karen & John for almost 25 years now
