| Care to join us??? Join Date: May 2005 Posts: 1,455 Location: Northwest Mississippi Status: Couple SLS Name:jennandjamesinms | This week's Member of the Week is Hilltop. We are glad to have him in the spotlight this week. Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Wednesday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosey, intimate, personal question you can think of. Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice. Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to. Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional. We'll start each interview with a few overview questions to get things started: Question limit (as the interviewee you may limit the questions on a per post or per user basis if you wish): Gender (if not a couple): If a couple, which one primarily posts: Age(s): Birthday(s): Location: Relationship status: Swinging for how long?: Prefer to swing with: Biggest Pet Peeve: Brief Intro: Picture (if you feel comfortable sharing one): Website (your own or one of your favorites):

My GF and I had an impulsive threesome with a male friend one evening. We repeated that fun a few times then he met a sweet gal who joined us then that turned into meeting another couple through her and so on and so forth. It's funny because we didn't really have any idea there was a "lifestyle" out there. We were just a group of young folks having a REALLY great time together. I'm sure at some level we probably felt like we invented the idea ![]() | |

As a blacksmith and a furniture maker you must be talented with your hands. Does that talent transfer to the bedroom? 3. What time do you get up each day and when do you go to bed? 4. What do you sleep in? 5. If I asked you to make me breakfast, what would you prepare? LM |

| Swingers Board Addict Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 568 Status: single male | 1. Why did you decide to leave your corporate job? I taught designers how to use their computers creatively. When I started the corporate culture was focused on breaking the rules of normal business models. I left when that culture became about making rules and keeping them. 2. As a blacksmith and a furniture maker you must be talented with your hands. Does that talent transfer to the bedroom? When you apply your hands to creative endeavours they become extensions of your soul. That extension follows through to everything you do. It's an act of calling, exploration and passion and deserves to be heeded -regardless what you do. 3. What time do you get up each day and when do you go to bed? I wake with the light. It means the sun is coming and I watch it rise almost every morning. I go to sleep when I'm tired. Whatever time that may be. 4. What do you sleep in? I sleep in the nude. I don't like to be restricted. I use flannel exclusively. The feeling on my skin is sensuous and comforting. 5. If I asked you to make me breakfast, what would you prepare? LM - I perceive you as having a sophisticated passion. I think lightly poached salmon and eggs with cream sauce would suit you. Along with that, a small serving of roasted rosemary potatoes, light fruit and toast made from home made bread with a touch of jam. |

| Swingers Board Addict Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 568 Status: single male | Starlinn . . . 1. As a single male, have you every encountered any problems swinging? Not many, I had the wife in one couple get possesive over who I swung with and when I started to back off she got very angry and tried to "poison the well" among the small group I played with at the time. Luckily it backfired on her and she ended up being the one seen in a bad light. I felt sorry for her but relieved to out of the situation. 2. Describe your best experience. I gave this one a lot of thought. I think it would have to be my very first threesome with my GF and my male friend. It was very spontaneous and unplanned. The level of excitement, arousal and that feeling of OMG!!!- This is really happening has not been topped since. 3. Do you swing with couples exclusively? Not exclusively. Realistically it's the most likely thing that is going to happen. Being a single male, the opportunities for play other than with couples is really limited. 4. What is your favorite wine? I really am a wine novice. There's so much to know about it and I've never taken the time to explore that world. I do the one glass of red a day thing for my heart and that's usually a Merlot. I prefer a bit of a heavier wine. Whites and dry's are usually a little too much for me. I love a NW port that comes from Whidbey Island (it's located in the Puget Sound). 5. What is your favorite song? I have a few. I've never been able to pick just one of anything! My past: John Mellencamp's - Cherry Bomb. My present: Jessie Colin-Young's - Ridgetop My view on the world: Traffic's - Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. 6. What has a calming effect on you? Being outdoors in the rain. It grounds me and connects me to my surroundings like nothing else can! 7. If you were to send me flowers, what kind would they be? Starlinn - For you I think I'd send Fawn Lilies backed by Foxglove and Baby's-Breath with curly maple to support it all. |

Not really. I enjoy being single because it suits my independent nature but it makes it REALLY difficult in the swinging community. There is so much bad behavior out there that you have to rise above. There is a LOT of predjudice to fight and it can get very tiring to work against it. 2. Have you ever used a "ticket" to gain entry into "couples only" venues? No,I haven't. I don't think I'd feel very good about myself doing that. I've only been to a club once a long time ago and they really treated single males like criminals. It was prohibitively expensive as well. I prefer to connect with a smaller group o' like minded people for play. 3. What is your favorite form of play activity? MFM, FMF, etc. MFM most definitely! There's something about that dynamic that just sends me! 4. What are your hobbies when you are not playing and not working? I'm one o' those fellas whose work is also his hobby. But when I need a break I love to read and I really enjoy finding a good place to "people watch"! I used to have a product illustration business so I like to keep my hand in by doing illustration/image manipulation for friends and family. Custom B-day cards, family portrait montages that sort of thing. 5. How do you tell an interested party that you are not interested in them? Mostly I try to gently let them know that there just doesn't seem to be any connection or chemistry. |

| Swingers Board Addict Join Date: Jul 2002 Posts: 556 Location: off the board | Dear Hilltop, Welcome to the hot seat darlin’ First let me say, you are the most attractive single man I have ever seen. Everything about you is very appealing, from the sexy combination of "blacksmith" with the "intelligent artist" vibe that shines in your text, to the physical presence ...is like catnip. (pun intended). You remind me of my Darter… very sexy mix in a man. You can go ahead and blush now… I am done flirting and gushing. Here are your questions: Why are you so far away? Do you ever travel to Pennsylvania? How can we get you to travel to PA...lol? OK seriously… You live in one of the most beautiful regions of the USA... if you had to move (say Mt St Helens decides to really blow up a second time), were would you move and why? When is solitude lonely? Which is better to wake up with, a smile on your face from a long ago memory... or a hangover and two buxom brunettes ( and you have no memory of how they got there)? Describe your version of a desirable woman ( one you would like to stay for more than a day). In your experience, are beauty and brains an Oxymoron? No one has asked as of yet... but how did you come to be (or decide to become) a blacksmith? With whom did you do your apprenticeship? Do you specialize in any particular type of iron work ( ornamental, tools, fine art…)? Have you ever met Dale Chihuly? ( one of the people I greatly admire out your way) Translate your signature for us please: per ardua ad astra And once again... Do you ever travel to Pittsburgh? (lol) Last edited by BodyScape02 : 10-20-2005 at 02:15 PM. |

| Swingers Board Addict Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 568 Status: single male | LM - You are almost too good for words! How did you know I love rosemary potatoes? I didn't but it seemed right for you. Having read your posts here on the board you've impressed me as someone who enjoys a spectrum of experiences and to have those pleasures enhanced by complimentary details. Rosemary is my favorite herb, it brings a light earthiness to everything it touches! Speaking of words, some men are wonderful writers, but when they meet a woman their ability to converse seems to disappear. 1. Are you as fluid with your language skills as you are in your writing? I think I probably fall into the "fifty percent" category regarding my writing style/speaking style. When writing you have the full benefit of reflection without interruption/distraction. When I meet people that I've been corresponding with for the first time there's been plenty of finding myself scrambling for words. Other times there's no difference. It comes down to the state of mind I'm in. Mostly tho' once I get to know the person and am comfortable with them there's not a lot of difference between the written or the spoken. To qualify that, I 'm more formal in my writing patterns than in my speaking. I use a lot more idiomatic references when I speak. 2. Do you prefer a few good friends, or many social friends? Definitely fewer close friends. I'm lucky tho' that I have many very close friends. Most I've known for 30 plus years. There are probably 15 or 20 of them. I love them all dearly and they're all as close to me as any family member. 3. Do you have pets, if so, tell us about them. Oh boy . . . I'm gonna have to be brief here (relatively) because this is the question closest to my heart. I currently have two dogs and a horse. My dogs are an Australian Kelpie/Sharpei mix the other is a Shetland sheep dog. My horse is an Appaloosa gelding. Throughout my entire life I've gone only 4 years without a dog. All of them have been rescued dogs. Strays or gotten from the animal shelter. The day I looked at my property here on the hill for the first time the Siberian Husky that I'd had for 13 years suffered a stroke and I had to have him euthanized. It was like having a part of my soul cut out and I was devestated for weeks (and still am to some extent) I don't have a religious belief in an afterlife but my idea of heaven is to be reunited with him. But for now it's me and the two pups on the hill. Can't think of a better way to be!! |

| Swingers Board Addict Join Date: Mar 2005 Posts: 568 Status: single male | Bodyscape, my browser shot me straight to the bottom of the replies last time I opened this thread and I missed your questions that time so here they are: Why are you so far away? I'm blooming where I was planted Do you ever travel to Pennsylvania? Sorry . . . How can we get you to travel to PA...lol? Uhmm . . . lemme think on that one OK seriously… You live in one of the most beautiful regions of the USA... if you had to move (say Mt St Helens decides to really blow up a second time), were would you move and why? I'd probably take the Harry Truman route and just go with the mountain. Seriously I'd probably move to Alaska. I need to be someplace wild where my heart can breath. When is solitude lonely? When you have one of those experiences that can only be made better by having someone standing at your shoulder. Which is better to wake up with, a smile on your face from a long ago memory... or a hangover and two buxom brunettes ( and you have no memory of how they got there)? Definitely with a smile on my face from a long ago (and long loved) memory. I'm not so much into the "manshow" definition of what makes a good night! Describe your version of a desirable woman ( one you would like to stay for more than a day). In order of importance: Inside Intelligence, independence, compassion. The ability to see the beauty in herself and this imperfect world we live in Outside While I love all types of women, long dark hair with light blue eyes. A body lovingly taken care of but not a hardbody. In your experience, are beauty and brains an Oxymoron? Brains are beauty. No one has asked as of yet... but how did you come to be (or decide to become) a blacksmith? I originally started wanting to make all of the hardware for my house so I took a metal arts course at the local college. It focused on non-ferrous work (copper, brass, bronze etc) but I learned I needed to work with iron to do what I wanted. Once I started it was like igniting a fire and I just fell in love with the work. With whom did you do your apprenticeship? I started at a local Natl Park site that had an operating blacksmith shop. We did all of the ironwork for the site as well as we were the only production blacksmith site in the Natl Park system. We made historically accurate ironwork for park sites around the U.S. We also did historic interpretation for the visitorship. It was a wonderful way of getting really comprehensive knowledge of local history. My apprenticeship there was all in 1840's techniques so my base skills are VERY old-school Do you specialize in any particular type of iron work ( ornamental, tools, fine art…)? Mostly ornamental. It's blacksmith tradition to help a new smith outfit their shop so there is a lot of collabrative work with fellow smiths helping someone new build a collection of tools. My fine art work is with a friend of mine in his bronze studio. He's 80 years old and he does large scale bronze abstracts. There's something about melting down 400lbs of bronze and pouring it like a hot cup of coffee!! Have you ever met Dale Chihuly? ( one of the people I greatly admire out your way) I've never met Dale. His work is amazing and I love it but to be honest he's a little overexposed here in the NW and I'm starting to get numb to his work. Translate your signature for us please: per ardua ad astra It's Latin and it means: Through difficulty to the stars (or highest achievement) And once again... Do you ever travel to Pittsburgh? (lol) You're making me consider it! Oh BTW . . . LM If I do get out to Pittsburgh . . . I'll have them pop open the door and parachute on into Iowa to see you. Please cut down any large trees in your backyard ![]() |
