This week's Member of the Week is Confunktion. We are glad to have them in the spotlight this week.

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Wednesday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Be sure to stop in and get to know them better by asking them every nosey, intimate, personal question you can think of.

Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional.

Biggest Pet Peeve: People who feel that passing judgement on others is their obligation. I don't remember anyone being named Judge, Jury and Executioner here on Earth.
Brief Intro: We are pretty laid back and very open-minded. Personality and ability to converse are huge in our book. If you get with our minds, our bodies will follow. I'm the less serious of the two; the Mrs. is the more intelligent. We tend to compliment one another pretty well. Yes, she gets very tired of my pop culture references, too - you are not alone...

LMAO, you are the first person (outside of my "household") I"ve ever seen use "eleventy", around here it is usually eleventy-four, which has become the standard smart ass answer to any number question.

So, what's your excuse?

Lord help me...she's a'gonna make it hurt...

What do you like to do with your spare time? Our spare time is spent working on our house, a 150-year-old Colonial/Federal. Lots of restoration work. I'd like to get it registered as a landmark someday, but we've got quite a bit to do first. Other than that, I like to dabble in theatre and music (not a lot of talent, but it's fun), I read (a little), I write (this is a new thing), and take naps whenever I can. I like to dance, too, but I never seem to find time to go out nowadays. Me and the Mrs. watch a lot of movies, too.
Favorite movies and books. Movies - any one of the Christopher Guest mockumentaries, "The Usual Suspects", "Casablanca", the Sean Connery Bond movies, "The Jerk"... Books - I don't have a favorite at this time. I did like "Timeline", which I just re-read.
How did you and Mrs. Confunktion meet? At a bar, of all places. I was working in radio at the time, and I accompanied my much-more-famous co-worker to a Saturday night appearance at a local bar. Sick of seeing me stand up in the DJ booth, he pushed me out to the dance floor and told me to mingle (I needed that push back then). Well, one trip around yielded nothing but disgusted looks and muffled laughter, so I went back up. My friend then called a girl he knew up to the booth and asked her to dance with me. She said yes, and the rest, as they say, is history.
How would you describe yourself? That's a tough thing to do for me. I've never been good at describing myself. I'll try, though...Thoughtful, caring, a little funny, a little annoying, somewhat intelligent, polite... At least I try to be those things. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, I guess.

You said that you worked in radio....what do you do now? Does it have something to do with all of you pop culture references (which btw, is my favorite class this semester ???? I wish...man, if I could get paid for sitting around all day and spouting obscure references to TV shows that were on for about four episodes, I'd have found Nirvana. Anyway, I spent a total of seven years in radio but made very little money. I couldn't even support myself when I was single, much less married. So I decided to actually utilize my degree, and I got into computer support. That became call center management, which begat security management, which begat security consulting. In short, companies hire me to come in and tell them where they need to beef up their security - physical, technical and administratively. I don't much like my job, though, so I am actively looking for a new lot in life. Any suggestions or open positions are appreciated.

Back at ya, sweetheart!

If you could visit one place in the world- Where would you go? Why? If I had to choose one place, I would probably head to Ireland to track down where my ancestors came from. Geneology interests me. That, and hit the pubs. That's a must.

What's your favorite food? Pizza, definitely. I eat it two or three times a week, and I could probably go more without getting sick of it. Italian food in general is right up my alley, followed closely by seafood.

Favorite drink? Depends on my mood, but my fave now is Vodka Cranberry. Refreshing over the summer months. Non-alcoholic would be raspberry iced tea.

Favorite season? Summer. Gimme the heat, I can take it. It's better than the cold.

Favorite time of day? Strangely enough, it's at about 4a. I used to get up that early for work, and it was nice and quiet - in the house, on the road, and in the office when no one was in yet. Plus, leaving at about 1p to go home was a huge plus.

Favorite smell? The smell of Samsara - that's the scent of Mrs. Funk.

Describe the ideal swing couple for you and Mrs. Funk. Hmmm...Of course, it's all about the ladies, so a couple with an easy-going woman who loves to talk and laugh, has a personality with some intelligence, is bisexual without needing to get anebriated, and doesn't mind making the first move. As far as the guy, the Mrs. likes them clean (not all scraggly), open-minded, also able to ask for what he wants and reciprocate in turn, and likes to watch a sexy dance or two. I'm pretty adaptable, so I can roll with different types of people.
