We have talked about it quite a bit. I have been so lucky to have been blessed with not only the greatest wife a man could have but also with 3 wonderful boys. I love them as if they were my own children. I look at it this way, if we have more kids that would be wonderful, if not that is still wonderful.

We emailed back and forth over a matter of 2 weeks or so. And I’m not talking about 1 or 2 emails a day – I’m talking about 15 to 20 a day…talking about everything, asking questions, sharing stories. We spoke on the phone a few times also and it seemed that we would never run out of anything to say. We had a date set up for a Friday night, but I couldn’t wait. So on a Wednesday, my ex had gotten the kids to finish out Spring Break with him, so I emailed James and asked him to meet me for drinks that night instead of waiting until Friday. He was game for that. So we met at a restaurant that I used to work at, but where the staff still knew me (my safety thing ) I was there before James was, so I chose a good vantage point so I could see him when he walked in. My first thought when I saw him was wow, he IS cute, followed by my heart pounding with the next thought being – yep, he’s the one. So for me it was love at first sight – although I was already half in love with him through our correspondence. We spend about 4 hours there just talking and really getting to know each other. We made plans for the next night, St. Patrick’s Day, to go and have green beer to celebrate the day. We ended that date with a very nice first kiss – one that we still laugh about. I went to kiss him, and when I did, James about jumped out of his skin. The gentleman in him wasn’t sure how to end our evening, but I being the type of person that I am, made the decision for him. We haven’t been apart since that night.

James brought up swinging to me. At first, I had serious reservations because of what had happened in my first marriage. In my first marriage, we were both terribly unhappy and decided to try an open relationship to see if we could try to solve some of our problems, hindsight tells me now that was a horrible idea, although the marriage would have ended no matter what, it was in its final stages at the time. But I had always fantasized about 2somes, 3somes and moresomes. So when James brought it up, I was hesitant. He had a couple that he knew from before who were swingers that had invited us to go to a club. I figured that I would go to see what it was all about. We had a great time, we didn’t play, but everyone was so open and friendly so I decided to do more research on swinging. That’s when I found this board. I registered and the rest is history J I read, read and read some more. I learned a lot from reading this forum and the various threads. There seemed to be a thread for every question that I had. Then the Meet Up in Memphis came along and that was really the turning point for me. I met people like me that were open-minded and were in solid relationships. We went home that night and discussed our boundaries (which have been tweaked as time has gone on) and got even more involved with the board. We also got our SLS ad going then too.

We had one soft swap experience in early June (we posted about that) and it was an uncomfortable experience but it gave us opportunities to communicate about what we liked and didn’t like about it. And just recently we had our first full swap, same room experience a couple of weekend ago. I think the only reservation we had was that we were constantly making sure that this is what we wanted, and kept asking each other. But then again, I don’t see that as a reservation – just good communication But we had an excellent experience. Now - We’ve been to different socials and have made some very good friends, but haven’t played with anyone else yet. But we are looking!!!!

I think that my greatest disappointment that I have discovered is that its not as easy as I thought it would be to find the "right" couple. I have said it before - it's like single dating times 4.

How many people who truly live the lifestyle have very similar thoughts, beliefs and opinions to mine. How many wonderful people that I have met that I haven't played with that I can truly call friend.

James - There are so many fakes and frauds out there. Why cant people just be themselves. Also from some of the clubs how some people don't want to give you the time of day.

James - How really very nice most true lifestylers are. The "true" swingers we have met are some of the friendliest and generally nicest people we both have ever met.

James - Really like the tournaments at Gold Strike the best...really like the dealers there. The Grand is getting better and of course The Horseshoe is nice also. ALABAMA!!! SEC is simply the best college sports conference in America....at least in my opinion.
Jenn - I am an Ole Miss fan, but Notre Dame still holds a place in my heart - Notre Dame is a legacy thing

James - Really wasn't hesitant...more nervous than anything. But as nice as everyone was...the nerves soon turned into dance grooves...lol. I would recommend that everyone on the board try to at least attend one meet and greet...it is definitely worth it just to put faces with names. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Jenn - I had some nerves at first, but everyone was so friendly and welcoming that the nerves soon dissolved!!! The Meet Up in Memphis was a real turning point for me - after that I became more involved with this and other swinger related boards and we seriously started down the road to swinging then. And I agree with my better half - the dancing was AWESOME
