Oh, yes, very much so. Just browsing through the still photos brings back surges of all those intense feelings and emotions. And we haven't even had time to watch the five hour video C sent to us! We just cannot stop smiling all day, every day.

For our intial partner we chose someone who we thought, based on his temperament and experience, would be particularly good at mentoring us into swinging. Not right now. A has never explored bisexuality, and she's having too much fun just playing with guys facelick, so that's not high on her agenda. She is a little bi-curious, but not actively seeking those experiences right now.

Complete swaps could be a possibility sometime in the future, perhaps. But right now B would be concerned that, given the heavy-duty emotions he experienced during our one MFM, he'd get too wrapped up in watching A play that he'd wind up being a big disappointment to the other lady. Maybe after he's watched A play with enough other guys so he starts getting a bit jaded about the whole MFM thing, then he might be ready to play with another female partner. And A's certainly willing to do her part in helping B get jaded as quickly as possible.

Besides, it'd probably a lot harder to find a good match with couples than with single guys. Interested single guys seem to be plentiful, and our requirements are that A has to really like them, B just has to be able to tolerate them. With another couple there are more possible personality conflicts.

We used to have a pet—a miniature dachshund—we had her for over 17 years. She was the sweetest little dog, and just totally devoted to us. She never stayed overnight in a kennel in her entire life—when we traveled we either took her with us or had someone house-sit for us so she could stay at home. It was probably the saddest day in our lives when we had to take her to have her put down—she was almost blind and had a spinal injury that made it impossible for her to control her bodily functions. We'd put it off longer than we should have, but it was still very, very difficult.

But we had so many happy times with her, and all those pleasant memories. We'll undoubtedly get another puppy in the not too distant future. Ironically, we postponed getting another pet because we wanted to do some traveling and playing that we'd put off for the last couple of years that her health was deteriorating. But right about then B started having some serious health problems that held us back. But he's over those now, so we have to decide how to coordinate catching up with our playing and getting a new puppy. And, of course, now those also have to be coordinated with scheduling our new play time activities.

let me first say that I am sorry for your loss. I know that is a very had thing to have to do. I noticed in your post that you are thinking about getting another dog. Are you thinking about another min dach or just looking for the dog that jumps out at you?

I'm sorry to hear about your loss as well. I take it then that you don't have any kids? Dogs are about the same as kids when it comes down to it. You have to either take them with you or get a sitter, and as you pointed out you have much more freedom without them.

Where do you want travel to? Do you guys do road trips or prefer planes?

Oh, yeah, we have kids ... we’re just answering the “pets” part and the “kids” part separately because B is answering these while at the office, so can’t spend too much time responding to any one question. We may not get to some of the other questions until later tonight or sometime tomorrow, when we’re not so constrained.

A has never had any children. (That’s undoubtedly a contributing factor to C’s repeated comments that, “You have an incredibly tight pussy!” )

B has two adult children—a son and a daughter—and three granddaughters from a previous marriage.

B married and had his son when he was quite young—about 21 yo. His son did the same thing, so B was only 43 when his first granddaughter was born. Now, A is 11 years younger than B, making her only 32 years older than her step-granddaughter. To compound the situation, A looks a lot younger than she is—people commonly think she’s 10 to 15 years younger than her actual age. It makes for some interesting double takes when people see the two of them walking through the grocery store together and this teenage girl keeps calling this hot, young-looking lady “Gramma”!

Both B’s son and daughter live far enough away—about 50 miles for his son and 350 for his daughter—that they’re not likely to accidentally stumble upon our newfound playtime activities, so we haven’t worried about that at all.

We're not sure about that yet. A loves (almost) any dog. She goes out of her way every day to get in whatever prime petting time she can with any dog she happens to meet on the street. (That’s the canine variety dogs only, not the human variety. )

B likes all kinds of dogs too, although he is particularly partial to dachsies. It may depend on what we find immediately available when we finally get around to going out looking. Of course, we've also thrown around the idea of getting two dogs, so if we did leave them in a kennel for a few days, they’d be there together and wouldn't be quite so traumatized by separation anxiety.

Yup, both Sagittarians. Between A on the 2nd, B on the 17th, Xmas on the 25th, and NYE on the 31st, December always ends up being a month-long party for us.
