| About the interviews Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are. Every Thursday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked. Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice. Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to. The current person being interviewed will choose the next person. It is preferred that you pick someone that you do not know very well as the purpose of this thread is to get to know new people. If for some reason, the next interviewee has not been chosen in time for the new interview, I will pick the next person. If you would like to be added to my list of back-up interviewees, please pm me. Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional. The following are general questions asked at the start of each new interview. Question limit (as the interviewee you may limit the questions on a per post or per user basis if you wish): Gender (if not a couple): If a couple, which one primarily posts: Age(s): Birthday(s): Location: Relationship status: Swinging for how long?: Prefer to swing with: Favorite food(s): Biggest Pet Peeve: Brief Intro: Picture: Website (your own or one of your favorites): |

Hi, CB & Red! We're glad to see y'all in the hot box and look forward to all we'll learn about the two of you. Where do y'all usually take your holidays? When we lived in Europe we liked Spain a lot but also had a great time on the Isle of Wight one summer. Have y'all ever visited the U.S.? Alura |

Thought I might have had time to start on this towards the end of the afternoon at work, but I (CB) ran out of time and Red was at home anyway.... So, the basic questions first: Question limit: None! The only limitation will be down to the time we can find to answer! Gender (if not a couple): Married couple. If a couple, which one primarily posts: CB (male half). Red is about as technophobic as they get when it comes to computers, so while she's happy to read over my shoulder and tell me what to type, getting her to actually type for herself is nearly a non-starter ![]() Age(s): 48 (CB) and 49 (Red) Birthday(s): I'll do this UK style - 4/7 and 10/9 (That's July and September)Location: Hull, England Relationship status: Married for over 25 years, together since November 1976. Still fancy each other like mad. Swinging for how long?: About a year, though we talked about it for five years before that. Prefer to swing with: Couples, though we don't exclude singles. Favorite food(s): Difficult one! There is so much that we like! For CB: Start with the roast beef and Yorkshire pud, move on through Indian, Thai, Chinese, Italian.... You get the idea! For Red: lasagne with salad. Biggest Pet Peeve: For CB - rudeness for one, and also the modern tendency to use "text speak" in emails (I hate that!). For Red: people who wear too much perfum (as in inflicting their questionable tastes on others). Brief Intro: We met during an exam in Regensburg, Germany (we were both students there that year). Never looked back. I'm sure there's lots I could add there, but most of it will come out over the next week anyway! Picture: Look left ;-) Well - that's Red anyway. There's a pic of both of us in our profile here. Website (your own or one of your favorites): Google (for CB) - it's just so useful. I run a couple of vanilla sites, but I think I'd better not expand on that. For Red, there isn't one! Okay - there's a start. Bring on the questions! |

Okay, best expand on that. Usually it would involve having a good time socially as well as in the sack. When we see the regulars it's usually over a day or two (sometimes three), with associated nights. Lots of time for talk, good food and general relaxation as well as nookie.

Do you run websites for a living? If you feel comfortable doing so, could you tell us more about the site you run?

![]() Glad to be in the spotlight now though. Red's just wandered off to finish getting herself "tarted up" for tonight's meet, so it's just CB finishing off for now. Quote:
We've never been to Spain or the Isle of Wight, though it would be good to do so. We did live in Germany for some time in the 70s and we've visited France, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Actually, when we did have time for holidays we would stay within the UK as often as not - frequently Scotland or Wales (we both have ancestor/relatives in both). [QUOTE=Alura]Have y'all ever visited the U.S.? Not yet! One day. I (CB) would love to explore some of the AWI and ACW battlefields. Not so sure Red would be so keen to do that - in fact I know she wouldn't! The nearest I've been to the US would be Conemara (Ireland) back in 1966.

Suffice to say that it's a very narrow and specialised field and saying too much would make us very easy to identify! It does involve molten pewter. And rubber. ![]() Hmmm. By the end of the week I might just say "what the hell" and point you all at my business web site! We'll see. We're not as paranoid about being recognised as we once were.

Hello CB_n_Red. I also have a few questions for you if that’s ok? 1. You mentioned that you both have travelled a bit. Which country did you like most and why? 2. Do both of you enjoy reading? If so, what are your favourite genres and authors? 3. What music do you both like? 4. What are your favourite movies? Thank you in advance, Maria. |

Ew. I don't like it either. I've always figured anyone that used that kind of abbreviated slang was probably under the age of consent. Do grown men and women really use it? There should be some kind of cyber law preventing it.

Red reads a mixture of historical fiction and crime/detective novels as a rule. I think she's probably read every Ed McBain book ever written. No doubt she'll add to the list later (I'm on my own in the workshop this morning). Quote:
Red really likes Bix Beiderbecke, Glenn Miller and Morcheeba (quite a mixture there). I'm with her on that. We listen to the Stones and Beatles a lot still. What else? In no particular order: Beethoven, Bach, Bebop Deluxe, Osric Tentacles, Kula Shaker, Free, Frank Zappa, Lynyrd Skynyrd (one of the best live gigs we ever saw!), Pink Floyd, Genesis, Yes, Tchaikovsky, Kitaro, The Kinks, John Mayall, Cream, ELP, Allman Brothers, Kraftwerk, Deep Purple, Led Zep..... It would get pretty boring to list everything we like ![]() Quote:
![]() At the moment the Lord of the Rings trilogy for both of us. We recently saw "I, Robot" and enjoyed it a lot, even though it bore little resemblance to Asimov's work. One less than well known film I (CB) really like is Lifeforce - one of the few British made SF films that came close to what Hollywood can do. Red is very keen on "Gone with the Wind", though I find it far too long! Thinking of that period in history, I was very impressed with "Glory" to the extent that I actually bought a copy (we usually catch films on the box). We're both into Star Trek and Star Wars.... Okay, a bit sad! CB

Minor misspellings I can live with - it's easy to mis-type something when typing quickly. It's the deliberate or the ignorant errors which have me reaching for the red pen! CB
