About the interviews

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are.
Every Thursday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked.

Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

The current person being interviewed will choose the next person. It is preferred that you pick someone that you do not know very well as the purpose of this thread is to get to know new people. If for some reason, the next interviewee has not been chosen in time for the new interview, I will pick the next person. If you would like to be added to my list of back-up interviewees, please pm me.

Also, please keep in mind that any answers you post are viewable to complete strangers. There is some risk in that. Again, all questions are optional.

Gender We are a couple. The female half (me) is the primary person who posts, but hubby usually reads what I have written.

Ages 29f....34m

Location Northern Nova Scotia, Canada

Relationship Status Known each other for 10 yrs, a couple for 7 1/2 yrs, happily married for 5 1/2

Swinging for How Long a little less than a year

Prefer to Swing With couples...with a few select singles

Favorite Foods hubby's is pasta...in any form. Mine is.....well...let me put it this way....I haven't met a food i didn't like

Pet Peeves for me....people who don't speak with correct grammar (my grandmother would always correct me, until it became second nature.) It's like nails on a blackboard to me. Hubby's would be if the seam of his socks get's twisted. I'll never understand it myself. :rollseyes

Brief Intro Well....I'm 5'8"..(no need of heels thank god)...dark hair and green eyes. I like watching movies, listening to music, cooking, and spending time with our 3 girls. Hubby is 5'6"...brown hair and blue eyes. He likes movies and music as well....and tinkering with engines.

Favorite Website there are SOOOOO many lol...i LOVE this one....I have a serious addiction to it....and any recipe site

To answer the first question...it's only slightly more bearable

I don't think I have any favorite bands/artists or songs. Last count, I have over 1100 songs on this computer, and that's not counting complete albums OR videos. I like most genres of music...except some of the newer rap and/or hip hop. I find a lot of those songs full of hate and anger towards women in particular, and glorifies "players"

The music I listen to most often though are the standards...songs by Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Etta James, Nina Simone etc. I keep getting drawn back to them for some reason.

Personally I don’t like all this modern stuff either. I also listen to anything with a good tune and words.
How about a favourite movie? Would you or your husband have one?
What about books? Which genres do each of you prefer? Any favourite authors/titles?

Oh boy. You've really opened a Pandora's Box here. We watch a lot of movies. One of my all time favorites is Return To Me with Minnie Driver and *sigh* David Duchovny (mmmmmmmm....yummy facelick ). Schindler's List is another good one, as well as an older mini-series The Thorn Birds. As to hubby, if I had to say what his favorite movie is...I would think it would be X-Men 1 & 2. I'll have to check with him though.

As well, I am a voracious reader. As another of my friends likes to say, I'll read anything that stands still. Right now, I'm in love with the "In Death" series by J.D. Robb (a.k.a. Norah Roberts). Jude Deveraux and Jill Barnett are a couple more. I also like reading sci/fantasy. Mercedes Lackey and Marion Zimmer Bradley are two of my favorites there. Hubby is really not a reader.

ok---you are in Heaven, and God said you can spend eternity with all of the sex you want, all of the movies you want, all of the reading you want or all of the cooking you want to do---but it is a choice of only one that you can do for all of eternity---which one are you going to choose?

And I always need to throw in a crazy one...

What is the state of your oven right this second? Clean as a whistle or are you expecting a fire any day now?

I HATE this question. I honestly don't know what I would choose. If I was forced to choose...I guess my answer would be reading....because at least with reading, I could read about the rest of the choices

I would have to say that our favorite activity as a couple is socializing with friends. That could be something as simple as going to a friends house and catching a movie...or just sitting around gabbing. As a family, our favorite activity would be reading to the kids. It is very important to us that the girls have a love of books and reading, even for hubby, who doesn't like to read.

As to the state of my oven... it's not the cleanest, but it's not encrusted with gunk either

Btw, hubby said that another movie he really liked was Alien Vs. Predator
