About the interviews

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are.
Every Thursday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked.

Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

The current person being interviewed will choose the next person. It is preferred that you pick someone that you do not know very well as the purpose of this thread is to get to know new people. If for some reason, the next interviewee has not been chosen in time for the new interview, I will pick the next person. Biggest Pet Peeve: Lying and Drama
Brief Intro:I suppose that we are just your normal couple next door in suburbia; kids, mortgage, dog and SUV. We are pretty avid, eclectic music enthusiasts- I would say that is our one true hobby. Other than that Mr. Indy enjoys all thing manly- sports, his lawn, and boobs.
Mrs. Indy is a die-hard domestic goddess- a lover of cooking, decorating, shopping and gardening.

We have the privilege of owning our own vanilla business- advertising agency- which has afforded us the luxury of free time, most of the time! We are entrepreneurs at heart, and find that we are the most alive when we are working on several different projects. We definitely enjoy a challenge, and have been working on opening a new swingers club, in Indianapolis.

The club is 12,000 square feet, 2 stories in the heart of downtown Indianapolis’ Commercial District. Our grand opening weekend is scheduled for Valentine’s Weekend
(February 11th and 12th) providing we are finished with construction by then…. Keep your fingers crossed that we have good weather between now and then! J

It is a beautiful historic building, with fabulous architecture, stained glass windows, lit private parking, and tremendous amenities! You won’t believe your eyes! We have designed the décor to be reminiscent of old world burlesque charm! It will be truly amazing when it all comes together. Additionally, the club has been designed to really feel like a private club. The main floor is what we call the club floor. It has a grand meeting room, where couples can meet and greet, a separated room with dance floor, DJ post, table and chairs, pool table (hopefully it will arrive by opening) kitchen nook with coolers, ice, food. And a bar area for more socializing.

Upstairs has a huge group room that can be divided for a more private group setting, 7 party rooms, restrooms and a private retreat with separate kitchenette & full bathroom that can be reserved by our members.

We have become very passionate about this project, and as I women, I have tried to create an environment that every women can find to be a true sanctuary for sexual exploration, no matter what you are into; in a clean, secure, safe environment.

What made you decide to open a club?

Hey another couple with eight years difference in ages (I am a May birthday too), see some little things in common

I envy you being able to be your own boss. I just don't have the math skills to run my own business (a year of accounting taught me that one).

So how did you two meet? Was it love at first sight or did it take some convincing?
And who's idea was it to start swinging.

Yes, to a degree. We are a very fortunate couple in that being together is great for us, being separated cause stress. We look for things that we can do together, and are so happy about doing them together.

Advertising is a hard business, and Mr.Indy is more involved in it from a support standpoint. He helps me with whatever I need him to do. He is also a very strategic thinker (just brilliant) so every I do, I run past him. His opinion is the only one that matters to me.

Thanks! We had several reasons for wanting to do it. We wanted to find something that we could do together, that we both found interesting. We also wanted a place that was very focused on women. And if anything, that is theme of the club. As a woman, there are certain things I have been uncomfortable about in almost every club I have been to. talking to our friends, I realized I am not the only one. Neccessity is the mother of invention, right?

Telling the Children will be a challenge if it comes to that. The club is in another town, about 45 minutes from where our home is. We choose that location becasue it wasn't in our town. As with any other questions our kids ask, we will tell them them truthfully, in a way that is appropriate for their ages.

I was just 18 when Mr. Indy walked into a store I was working at. He absolutely took my breath away, asked me for a date, and we have been together ever since. He moved in my apartment on our second date, infact. He was the one-night-stand that wouldn't leave, and i have never been more thankful!

To tell you the truth, we have always talked about adding others to our sex play, from the beginning- maybe our third date?

I think it was more of a mutual agreement to do so. I don't remember ever having a time where he came to me and asked, or I to him. It just seemed like we were on the same page with it, and so we did.

We have 3 children between 4 and 10.

Don't laugh when I tell you what it is about the other clubs

It is stuff like, matresses on the floor, sheets not matching, tacking decorations, run down, bad neighborhoods, etc...

All of those are not one club in particular, but it just seems to us that there is a general feeling that just because it is a place for sex, doesn't mean that it has to look like a place fore sex, to a degree.

What is wrong with having nice ammenities like candles, flowers and comfy robes/slippers for when you are finished? or a private room you can use with a big old claw foot bathtub?

Those are the types of things we are going for. Now.... you will still be able to dance to 'pussy control' and watch porn, etc.... But I promise you that you will not be seeing any dangeling christmas lights strung around the room in August!

So I take it you are planning to open an on-premise club.

Have you guys spent anytime travelling around to visit other clubs across the country and get some ideas? I know what you are talking about with the ick factor and it is too common, but there are good clubs out there too.

Do you guys have some financial backers on this or are you paying for it all yourselves? Seems like your ideas could get get pretty expensive, but at the same time could have good payoff.

We have been to clubs, and you are right... they are really so varied that it isn't fair to generalize them in one catagory. There are a lot of nice places out there! I have yet to attend, but Tom and Bonnies club looks fantastic! I am sure it is!

It is an on-premise club, and we are funding it ourselves. It can be expensive- but we have solid experience with previous businesses. Just like any other business, a good business plan, model and funding is the only way to go.

I guess ultimately.... we are designing the club the way we are comfortable doing, and including things that are important to a lot of people.

Somethings will happen right away, others will be in phase two, and finally others in phase 3. the club will not be exactly the way we want it to be immediately, but it will be close. With patience and planning we will get there.

Not to mention, we are at a time in our lives, that we are ready to do this. As swingers, we aren't looking (or desire to) swing at our own club. We are looking to do something we really want to do. And we have fantastic friends both swingers and vanilla, who are behind us 110%. That is the important thing to remember.

What kind of clubs rules are you going to implement that will be different from other clubs? Will sinlges be allowed?

When do you expect to be open for business?

If the zoning goes as planned we should have our permit next week. I do not anticipate any issues there. We are expecting to be open Valentines Weekend
(2/11-2/12) as our grand opening 'membership drive'

We will also be offering rides to and from the airport, Ves. On Ambassadair you will be able to fly from Florida roundtrip weekend pass for $99 each and we will be offering our out of town members coming from the airport a special membership deal. I am not sure what that will be yet.

The main difference is that the main floor level, or the club floor, Is open to members and prospective members. There isn't any type of sex or sex acts permitted there. It will look and feel like most off premise clubs.

The second floor is members only and that is what it means.... members only!

Singles are admitted to the club floor, but have to be invited to the members area. Hopefully that will eliminate 'walking jackers' LOL

To be honest... we would love your imput about single men. We have been throwing around a lot of ideas about them.

Since most couples are looking for single men/women we really want to open to that. And if you would like to bring a man or women along with you... thats great! if you want to play with other couples, then you can.

Oh, and we have a great elevator to take you between the floors incase you are disabled or very kinky

We are working on having an AVI of the club available on line, so everyone can really get a good look.
