Do you have any pets?
Our zoo: one old dog, two young cats, a fat rabbit, a betta that will not die and a tropical fish tank of tetras. To this Janet wants to add a couple of horses and another dog when we move. The fish and the bunny need to find new homes...

What is your adult beverage of choice?
If we're drinking together, it's usually wine, but sometimes she has a 'rita and I'll have a beer if we're out. For just plain getting drunk, I prefer tequila shots. I'm not kidding. <EG>

Since you're making me choose just one, and that would be my daily driver too, I will take a BMW 760Li, thank you.

What kind of music do you like?
Most anything except Country and Top 40, oh, and no Polka either. Reggae, Blues or even Bluegrass can be a nice change of pace. The other day I made a list of what I was listening to: Goo Goo Dolls, Depeche Mode, Collective Soul, Radiohead, Talking Heads, Yes, Steely Dan, Bush, Tori Amos. I want my daughter to give me her A Perfect Circle CD so I can rip it.

Who is your favorite author?
Heinlein. Of course, he won't be writing much more... I don't read books as often these days, but I read the first few pages of McCaffrey's The Ship Who Sang yesterday and found it interesting. Janet almost always has a book open and really likes Cussler, Robin Cook and lots of different sci-fi titles, mostly about dragons. Boy has begun to read those too.

Who does the cooking at your house?
Janet, except for omlettes. I don't know why, it just happened that way. She's an excellent cook facelick and everyone always loves what she fixes.

What do you have most in common with each other?
We see the world the same way. Our politics, our beliefs, our sense of justice and our 'truth about the universe' are very similar.

What is the most opposite personality trait that attracts you to each other?
She is a saver, I'm a spender. It's a good thing I have her or I'd be broke! She likes that I am an optimist. She is decidedly not one.

Who gets the other laughing most often, and how do you do it?
I make her laugh. It's my mission. She was raised in a Very Serious House, where Life Is Hard was the motto and The Depression might return any day. Well...OK...it wasn't that bad every day, but you get the picture.

It's very simple; I make her laugh by being silly and saying the wackiest things, or coming on to her like a 70's lounge lizard, stuff like that.

What part of Janet's body does Brad like most, and what does he like to do with it?

I am the Master! Kneel before me...Oh, you wanna be the Master? OK then, here's the strap. We play some power games, but she's almost always the subbie. I'd love to be one, but she just isn't really a top. Janet gets off on being restrained and 'tortured', but there's no real pain involved, she just likes to be tied up and have me run my hands and lips over every part of her body. We're looking for a friend or two to help me.

If tomorrow you had one of those moments where you say to yourself, "How lucky I am to have this in my life, it's too easy to take for granted," what would you be thinking of?
Not allowing people makes this hard for me. They're what I value the most. I suppose I'd have to say my health. I have a few little nagging things at 45, but overall, I'm pretty healthy. I hope to stay that way until I'm 90.

Janet says, "My puppy...", but says it all depends on her mood. Sometimes it's her garden, or her job, or just sunshine.

What is a favorite "comfort food" for each of you?
Janet: Red Vines licorice

Me: pizza, with chicken, black olives, green peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and extra cheese.

What do you and Janet prefer: being in places crowded with people, or being away from the maddening crowds?
We like a party sometimes, but mostly we enjoy the company of ourselves or a few close friends.

Do you go to bed together each night (at the same time)? What is your your bedtime ritual for being tucked in?
No way! I'm an early-bird; she's a night-owl. I'm usually in bed by 11 (I like a good solid eight hours if I can get it), while she's often up past 3am. (She's also likely to fall asleep in her chair for a few hours in the evening!) She has a slight scoliosis, which makes her back hurt after 4-5 hours no matter what she's lying on.

We don't really have a bedtime ritual, except for a bedtime kiss and a reminder of things we need to do the next day.
