About the interviews

Swingers Board interviews are a way for us to get to know each other better. It is a way to acknowledge just how wonderfully varied a community we are.
Every Thursday, a new interview will start and the old interview will be locked.

Every SwingersBoard member is allowed to ask the amount of questions specified by the interviewee in the answers to the default questions. If they discover that they chose too high or low a limit, they may change their choice.

Try to keep this thread about the person being interviewed. If you want to comment about things you discover you have in common or just elaborate on a response, pm them and make a new friend or start a new thread about it. This is intended to be a friendly thread, so please don’t ask anything in a purposeful attempt to get a heated debate. Of course, nobody is required to answer a question that they do not want to.

The current person being interviewed will choose the next person. They need to first pm him or her and ask if he or she is interested, then pm me to let me know. It is preferred that you pick someone that you do not know very well as the purpose of this thread is to get to know new people. If for some reason, the next interviewee has not been chosen in time for the new interview, I will pick the next person. Well, I already fell in love with Tennessee thanks to you! Is there any place that you haven't seen that you have always wanted to visit?

I have always wanted to go to Alaska. That is one of the things on my things to do list.

I have too many hobbies. There isn't time for all of them so I tend to do them in spurts. This past summer I put thousands of miles on my motorcycle. This winter it will be shooting and camping (maybe I have a masochistic streak? I enjoy winter camping). Come Spring it will be fishing. Movies, cooking, weightlifting, and of course swinging are year round hobbies.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. The cool dry air, the colors, the snuggling in front of the fire!!

The swinger fantasy that I would like most to do and haven't done YET is to attend a swingers club. Hopefully that will be taken care of later this month. I know, I know. I will probably not play with anyone but I am a people watcher. I figure sitting at the bar sipping a beer I will get plenty of people watching in.

Dream job? Fighter Pilot. I will always want to be a fighter pilot when I grow up.

My favorite movie is the mini series lonesome dove. The original one. The others should never have been made.
Robert Duvall is my favorite actor, hands down.
My favorite actress varies it seems. But, for turning in a good performance consistently it would be difficult to go wrong with Sally Fields. Yes, the flying nun. But she has had a great movie career.
Which movie couple would I want to play with? Easiest to answer of your questions. Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack in Serendipity. They're in love, they try to please each other, John seems like a nice guy and just having Kate walk through the room naked would probably make me light headed. I don't know why, she's not even my type but if we really had this attraction thing figured out we would bottle it and sell it, wouldn't we? I mean, like Bitsy Schram on the show Monk. Most of my friends say "she's all right" but I would drive non stop to California for an hour on an army cot with her. Go figure.

People watcher. Body language and facial expressions tell so much more than language.

My "type" of female is petite, small breasted, wide hipped, bubble butted, a curve to her tummy, muscular legged, smiling, with long hair and last but not least, intelligent. But I have been in lust and in love with many different types. The girl who left the biggest hole in my heart, I heard her laugh and turned around to see who it was. I think I was in love before I turned around but I know I was afterwards. Turns out it was a big lesson in compatibility or rather incompatibility and all it's nuances. The girl I still think about on some fall evenings when the sun is setting and the wind is blowing or I hear certain songs is tall, thin, large breasted, with long hair and a quick smile and eyes that could look deep in your soul. For swinging? It's all about the attitude, their perceptions and outlooks. You don't learn those things without talking to them a little. But, sometimes, you just sense that fairly quickly. Plus, when swinging you get "a hankering" for different types at different times. It's all good, trust me. LOL

I put different quotes in my signature lines at different times. Depends on my mood or if I am tired of the one I am using. I haven't found or thought of that perfect one yet, probably never will. Variety is the spice of life isn't it? Hey, that would be a good one for this site!!! Is someone already using that?

I see single males say (often) that they like to swing with single females. Do you really consider it swinging if it's just you and a single female? Or when you say this are you meaning something else?

What was your first swinging experience like? How did it happen?

Books and my Father have been the biggest influence on my life. I like to read mostly non fiction. I am an information gatherer. So many times I think back not to what my Father told me but what he did in a similar situation. Children rarely listen, they always imitate. Of course he always had a cliche, quote, or saying for almost any situation.

Favorite book?? Oh Geez, Lonesome dove, I have read several times of course as well as Undaunted Courage. Love in the Time of Cholera was good right up to the ending. No, I am not going to tell, I will just say I was infuriated that a book that long was tied up in a very short paragraph. Reminded me of a the way Grisham does it which is why I don't read him anymore. Seems lately I mostly read trade journals and inservices and updates. The age of technology will be the death of us yet.

Winter camping, the fire, the frost on the tent, the snow sometimes. You have to remember, your September is probably like our January. Summer camping her is a near fatal combination of heat, humidity, and bugs. Unless of course you get high enough in the mountains then even August mornings require a jacket and a hat.

I saw another post where this was discussed and someone had a very good explanation that I agree with. Years ago a swinger was someone who had casual sex with different partners and sometimes engaged in multiple partner sex. They used Healy from I dream of Jeannie as an example. To break things down, this is the way I look at it. I am swinging if I am playing with a couple or foursome irregardless of anyone's marital status. If I am having sex with a fuck buddy, that's swinging whether it is just she and I or we are with a couple or a couple of single swingers. Now, the sticky part (no pun intended) If I am having one to one sex with a woman who I consider a friend with benefits meaning we are friends and we sometimes have sex and we know we are not exclusive to each other and she does not swing but doesn't have sex with people just for the sake of sex, then I don't consider that swinging in any way. Now, throw in costumes and role playing and I am too confused to sort it out. LOL

My first swinging experience? I have often wondered when that actually was. For awhile I thought it was when the first couple I met on the internet and they took me under their wing and introduced me to "the lifestyle". But the more I have thought about it, the more inclined I am to think it was many many years ago when I was just a teenager. Short story on that is a female was sitting in the back of a car between me and another guy and a couple was in the front seat and for whatever reason she started making out with both of us, kissing, petting, etc. Pretty much everything but intercourse as we drove down the road with the Eagles playing in the background. I think that is why I get such a blast out of MFM today. That was my first experience like that. Then as a twenty something there were several times where I would have sex with one girl then another at a party or get together but not at the same time, or one girl would be with me or my roomate and then the other but not at the same time. So, that kind of set the stage or something.

I think my first time might have been similar. I've always thought my first tie was when a girlfriend my junior year of college took me to a swingclub, but now I think it might have been my freshman year in college, summer. My roommate was gone for the weekend and a friend stayed in the dorm for the weekend. Two girls came in around 1:30, had sex with them, then they switched. Then we watched. Then they went back to their dorm. They tried that again when my roommate came back, but he wasn't up for it.

Which leads me to my question. Have you ever had a woman you've been dating invite you to go visit friends of hers, and things got sexual between the four of you?

I'm a romantic comedy junkie and a John Cusack fan. However, in Serendipity did you happen to notice at the end of the movie when she throws the glove at John Cusack how far she has the thrown it? If you did she has quite an arm! lol

Anyway, you say you've only been swinging for a year. Why did you want to start swinging? What made you curious to give it a try? Have you been curious for a long time?

The couple you met via the internet did you contact them or did they contact you? If you contacted them how did you go about approaching them? If they contacted you how did they approach you and how did you reply? I think many singles can learn from you experience

Also, do you think you being older makes it easier for you to enter the swing lifestyle as a single?
