What was your first swinging experience like?

The first very eye-opening as neither us or the other couple had any intention on playing. We spent the afternoon visiting museums, proceeded to dinner and somehow we ended up going to a swingers club. It seemed like a natural progression as we had gotten along really well all day and felt very comfortable with each other. They had several years expereince, we had zero.

Have you had any really bad experiences in swinging?

We did have one very bad (in my eyes) experience. One in which we withdrew from swinging for several months and were not sure that we would return. It took me quite some time to overcome that experience and to realize it for what it was. We were only about a year or so into swinging and had allowed ourselves to believe that all swingers 'operated' on the unspoken rule of 'No means, No'. While it was not the case with this couple, (particularly the male half) they are not a reflection of the number of swingers that we have met (not necessarily played with) and I'm fairly secure that based on the knowledge we have now, that type of situation will never occur again.

Do you have any regrets?

That is an excellent question. In the beginning, I can recall wondering if I would have any regrets and to be honest, until you asked, I hadn't thought about it again. Neither of us have any and if it were to end tomorrow, for good, neither of us would have any. That in itself is awesome.

Eye-opening in the sense that we (okay, more so me) didn't realize they would be 'normal' people. I had conjured up some wild images in my mind about what 'swinger' people would look like and behave like in public. I suppose I had watched one too many, cheesy porn flicks.

What kind of music do you like? Have you ever play a musical instrument? If so, which one?

We have never traveled out of state, but have visited a club on a few occasions that is about 2 1/2 hours from us.

I enjoy a broad range of music. I do however shy from 'heavy metal', 'rap' and 'opera'. In my youth I played both the piano and the clarinet. I haven't touched either in over 25 years.

I would like to be a librarian. I quiet, peaceful environment with the world at your fingertips.

Do you like to cook? What are your favorite things to make, desserts and/or others?

I do not like to cook. While I am a good cook, it's nothing more than a chore to me, much akin to cleaning bathrooms or doing laundry. I'm afraid that description doesn't shed a favorable light on anything that I cook, huh?

Silk, definitely.

Oh, that is a heated subject around here. I've got them falling out of closets, breaking hanging bags, in bags, in boxes...well you get the idea. But somehow I never have the just that 'right' pair, so I buy more. If I had to guess? I'd say somewhere upwards of 50. Mr. O would say no less than two hundred.

If you could visit a time in history what time would that be?

I'd have to say the mid to late 1800's. A trying time, yet such a great turning point in American History.

Who does most of the cooking around your place?

I do ALL of the cooking. Mr. O's idea of cooking is ordering pizza. :rollseyes

We both agree that NASCAR is not the same since Earnhardts death. In fact we are continually losing enthusiasm for the sport due to all the radical changes they have made, which are rapidly driving away the very people that made them so successful.

I dreamed of being a first grade school teacher. I think it was because I really enjoyed my first grade teacher.

Either by catalog or on the web. Shopping and I do not mix well.

How many speeding tickets have you had?

Knocking on Wood Here!! The only ticket I've ever had was a warning ticket for my license plate light being out. Ironically it was delivered to me after three state highway patrolmen cornered me off as I was merging from one interstate to another. Scared me to death with all of those lights and cops surrounding me. How was I to know that they had been trying to pull me over for nearly two miles? My son had broken off my rear view mirror the day before, it was dark, extremely cold, the heater was on full blast and I had the radio blaring. :rollseyes

LMAO at your comparison of chores there, Mrs.O! I don't cook either, but i used to like to a little. B/F does all that here as he can't stand my bland Indiana cooking. Says it gives him heart burn...lol

Believe it or not, i too used to play the piano (wasn't great at all) and the clarinet (but only in the high school band for 3 years). I finally gave them both up for the good of all hearing humans everywhere.

I have been to dozens of Broadway musicals and plays. I absolutely love them! Chicago was excellent and the music is just outstanding. My absolute favorite tho was 'Tru', with Roger Morse. I have yet to-date, to see a one person production literally captivate an entire audience for an entire hour and a half. He was outstanding in the role of Truman Capote. As far as musicals go, Evita is probably my favorite. I saw it long before Madonna made a screen production of it and hers did not do justice to the live production.

I have enjoyed being in the Spotlight! It has been great fun and I've re-learned some things about myself, and discovered some things that I'd never even thought of before. Thanks for asking me, littlebit54!
