I wish i could say i'm sorry about the typing problem, but i'm just so happy that you agreed to do this, that sorry just doesn't apply.
I totally love and understand what you wrote about your golden retriever, Miss Margaret. We have never had big dogs, but my sister had two; and they sure are loving slobbery and big and could actually drown you with their affections.
I'm not going to ask you anymore questions until it slows down and you've had a chance to rest your fingers. I'm sure i'll have more later, but for now it looks like the seat is HOT enough.

This is such an excellent question. Our swinging experiences have mostly involved around spending time with the same couple, for a minimum of 24 hours. For example, the first couple that we swung with met us in our home town and we spent the day touring museums, had a leisurely dinner, went to a local swing club, played together, retired to our own areas and then met the next morning for breakfast. It was absolutely perfect, for us. Those are the types of experiences that we seek to have. Folks that share our interests in the vanilla world and can have a gleam in their eyes and look just as 'worn out' as we do the next morning sharing breakfast.

This is a tough question and difficult to answer as we do not overly enjoy a club type environment. Generally noise and the smoke factor are very annoying to us, and we are both smokers. The dynamics have been different several times, as we have gone with a couple, with a large group, or alone.

My personal opinon?

Well blow me down. I just looked at my rather 'wordy' response (before I hit send) into the differences between meeting people at clubs or via online and discovered they were both essentially the same. It basically boils down to your preferences, bottom line. We have no problems with meeting people at clubs, however the smoke and music/noise factor is what shies us away from them. We are just as annoyed in busy restaurants. The bottom line is that you can meet the same kind of people in both areas, but clubs are the best for cutting to the chase in finding out if they are for real or not and whether or not they suit what you are looking for, be it physically or mentally.

I have been in 'Sinus Valley' now for about 30 years. Mr. O was born and raised here...not but a few blocks from where we live. I have lived all around the US as I was raised military. Mississippi, Texas, Colorado, Louisianna (Colorado again) and then 'Sinus Valley'.

Do you like to travel, what's your favorite place that you have visited so far and where would you like to go that you have not had a chance to visit yet?

I do like to travel and dream of one day traveling the world. Mr. O is a bit hesitant to travel anywhere he cannot drive to. I did however talk him into several cruises, which he thoroughly enjoyed. On one of our cruises, we made a stop in Barbados. We both thoroughly enjoyed the island and at one time looked to buying property there. The idea was nixed later down the road.

I would love to go to Europe. There is so much culture and beauty to experience there. I would love to see all of the sites that I've read so much about, in person. Mr. O tends to lean towards places he can drive to. While he has been to most states, extensively, he leans heavily towards spending several weeks really exploring the Dakota's.

My favorite NASCAR driver is Joe Nemechek. I've followed him since his Busch days and he just remains my man. Mr. O was a major Earnhardt fan. Since his death, he really hasn't 'fully' backed a singlular driver, although he does hold favoritism to Jr.

My favorite car would be any car that offeres gender/age specific amenties. Blemish removing mirrors, seats that adjust to the size you are at 'that' exact moment, radiio's that automatically know how to insure that only people on the road that are going to hear it are the ones sitting inside of it. Wait!! This isn't about pet peeves!!

Mr. O? He likes anything that is painfully hard to get in and out of as long as it screams 'Put the hammer down!'

Due to the necessity to be close to home for the majority of our time, the bedroom. No kids within 60 miles, parents that can't drive to drop in...so that ain't all bad.

Okay, then... What's the one task that has to get done [at least now and then] that you absolutely HATE doing? The one that you'd love never to have to do again?

When faced with multiple tasks - - do you attack the biggest [most dreaded] one first, or go for the smaller ones first cuz you find them easier?

What's the task that you really kind of enjoy [even if it's something others seem to hate doing]?

What talent do you have that many may not be aware of?

What's the one thing you have always wished you knew how to do?

What do you think is your best physical feature?

What do you think is your greatest strength?

What's the one thing you would go back and do over again if you had the chance?

You've been around this site almost as long as me, and probably longer than most anyone other than me. In the several years you have been here, is there one topic or post (or more) that will always stick with you (be it bad or good)?

Geesh, only one? I'm tossing a coin cause there are TWO that I absolutely loathe and would love to never have to do again. Flip, Flip, tumble, tumble...AHA it landed on it's side! It is indeed my "lucky'" day! Cleaning the bathroom and shopping!

Whatever the tasks are that I want/need to accomplish for the day are written on a list, early morning, grouped together as to what is closest together. Be it shopping, cleaning, visiting relatives, etc. Usually it's a mixture of dreaded and easiest, so I guess it balances out. I strive to be finished with it all in the least amount of time possible, so I can sit around, eat bon-bons, drink coke and play on the computer.

What's the task that you really kind of enjoy [even if it's something others seem to hate doing]?

I enjoy cleaning out and going through every thing in the closests. There are a lot of memories clinging to some of that clothing and usually some sort of toy that I had gotten as a gift and had completely forgotten about. My last find was a flower pot of violets that dance to the tune of "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" which one of the kids gave me years ago for Mothers Day. I set it on the sensor setting and danced to cleaning out the closet.

What talent do you have that many may not be aware of?

Beats me, but then I find I'm not aware of many things rather often. Is that a talent?

What do you think is your best physical feature?

My eyes.

What do you think is your greatest strength?

My ability to be fair, even when it's not to my advantage.

What's the one thing you would go back and do over again if you had the chance?

I would still have chosen to have all three of my children, even though they were indeed heaches at times.

Do you believe in fate? Luck? Coincidence?

I believe in all three.

That'll do for now, I think. But I'm thinking of more ....

There are many that come to mind that I thoroughly enjoyed and even more that were excellent threads regarding swinging. However, there is one that will 'always' stick with me and it was a bad one. I'll not post a link to it, but if anyone wants to find it, you'll have to read ALL of the archives, (which is not a bad idea as there are tons of good stuff in there). I'll bet the Alura's know which one I'm talking about.

A team of wild horses couldn't beat it out of me. But I'm sure you know which one it is too.

I really love movies, however I'm not very fond of comedies at all. I've seen very few of them. Two of my absolute favorites are "All dogs go to heaven" and "It's a wonderful life". I've had to replace the copies of each, several times. I particularly enjoy drama's and biographies. Mr. O steers clear of movies. I believe we have only ever watched two in their entirety, together.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

Based soley on places I've visited, I would live in Monterey, California. (My pocketbook isn't to friendly to that idea though.) I am allergy free and I could spend a lifetime listening to the waves crash against the rocks and watching the otters frolic. Mr. O would like to live any where that has ample water for fishing. He is pretty easy in that respect.
