He has always been fairly romantic, more so the older he gets, but even when we were in school he was always doing something out of the ordinary.

When I worked outside of the home in a regular office, the women I worked with hated me, he was all the time calling or droping by unexpectantly for lunch or sending flowers, they were all the time asking me where I found him at

Getting married during HS had to be rather difficult. How did your parents handle it? Why did you choose to get married at such a young age? How did you guys handle it (did you move out right away or did you continue to live with one of your parents?)

Favorite book is a hard one, we read extensively. Right now I'm really into the Anita Blake Vampire Series as well as the Meredith Gentry Fairy Series by Laurrel K. Hamilton. Ted is into The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan right now. One of his favorites is Battlefield Earth (can't remember the author right now).

Movies are a little bit easier, I LOVE The Princess Bride and My Fair Lady. Ted's favorite is Pulp Fiction (which I totally don't get)

Had to edit this Ted said that even though he loves Battlefield Earth, his most favorite is Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein

It was difficult and my parents did fairly well considering. Being so young we had to have parents signatures before we could marry. One of the stipulations for my mother signing for me was that I would finish high school. Once they knew that Ted was serious about joining the Navy and that he would be able to support me, they felt better about it. It was a very stressful time for both families and I do think my parents thought that I would be home after a few months. It's funny because there was a time I got mad and wanted to come home and she refused to let me of course we had been married about eight years at the time, I was pregnant (with our third child) and she knew it was just the pregnancy hormones making me mad because Ted wouldn't put up a new mail box for me. My mother is a wonderful woman, she just laughed at me and sent me home.

We decided to get married because he was leaving for the Navy, didn't want to leave me behind, I didn't want to stay behind so marriage seemed to be the answer. The story does get more complicated than that, but way to long and involved to really get into here. Needless to stay there was a very happy ending for all families.

We moved out right away, actually had or own place set up and waiting for us the night we got married. We have never lived with either set of parents, have stayed with them some inbetween duty stations while he was in the Navy though.

You guys are definately the minority for young marriages. What advice would you have for a HS couple thinking about getting married? What would your response be if one of your daughters came to you wanting to do the same thing?

Tell us how that first swing experience came about (the threesome when you had only been married 2 years).

What made you guys decide that swinging was something you wanted to pursue actively? Which of you brought it up and how?

DON'T.

We love being married but, we do realize how lucky we have been. I mentioned to Ted one time that we really had no idea what we were doing back then and his answer to me was...Yes we did, we were marrying our life's mate .

The one thing that Ted and I always made sure to do was stand on our own two feet. We never once asked either set of parents for anything. If we couldn't do it on our own, it didn't get done.

Young people who are thinking about getting married need to realize that it's not a game, it's the hardest job you will ever have next to raising children. You have to work on it every day. You can't play at being an adult, you have to be one.

I have talked to all the kids about marrying young, everyone of them had the same answer...You and Daddy were so stupid to get married so young, you had your whole life ahead of you and you blew it by getting married.

Well, we don't think we blew it, but I definitely would not recommend it to anyone. We only have two left that are under 18 (15 year old girl and 13 year old boy) and should one of them come to me and say "I'm getting married" I would probably freak. I honestly don't know what I would do, I have preached so much to them about finishing high school, going on to college and that just because it worked out for us, it definitely does not work out for everyone. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I never have to cross that bridge.

Our first experience came about because I wanted to see Teresa with another man and I had just the one in mind. He was my best friend at the time, a great looking guy that I knew Teresa liked and wanted. One night I just frankly asked him if he was interested. He said yes, and Teresa and I had already discussed it. We were young and shy, Teresa undressed in the bathroom and I carried her into the bed and after that nature took it's course. Our relationship continued in an almost polyamorous wayfor quite some time until he left the Navy. A couple of years after that we played with a couple of friends of ours a few times, but that wasn't nearly as satisfactory. Nothing but fantasies for a long time until we discovered swinging on the internet and found our true calling. Teresa see's us as ambassadors for the lifestyle and tries to talk to all the newbies everywhere we go, spreading the lessons and easing the fears.

There are so many places I would love to go and see. We spent a week in Cancun for our 20th anniversary it was beautiful there. I would love to go to Italy, Rome, Scotland and Greece. Ted said Hedo or back to Cancun again

As far as bringin up swinging actively, I found a site for a local social and showed it to Teresa. She smiled and asked if I wanted to go. It wasn't quite that simple as we had the usual butterflies and misgivings, but we knew this was the way to experience all the fantasies that we whispered in each others ears. It has opened us up to experiences that we didn't even know we liked.
