Hmmm. Well, what if then Men were actually just like women in this above hypothesis and were also oriented neutral? If that were the case, then perhaps nobody changes at all. Maybe we always were and didn’t know it. Maybe we’re all Bi and there are still some who don't really realize it yet. Hmmmm, maybe. Just suppose for the moment we are and that depending on individual life experiences and realities, we can come to be open or not open to our own inherent Bi-Sexual nature.

That is an excellent point and something I've always felt myself (or for many years anyway) - everyone has the potential to be bi, it just depends on the attitudes you grew up with, what you've been exposed to, your earliest sexual experiences, what your comfort level is in exploring that side of yourself. How comfortable you are being different than what society expects of you. For a man who considers himself completely straight, this would go back to his early experiences and perceptions about himself, the same with a man who considers himself gay. I guess this is kind of ironic since I don't consider myself bi or even bi curious but I do recognize that it may be something that I may explore at some point in my life. It's all about how comfortable you feel with the idea. There's a scale that rates all people from 1 to 10, 1 being totally straight and 10 being totally gay I believe. I think a lot of people would fall somewhere in between if they did some soul searching and allowed themselves to be in situations where they had the possibility to explore it. I for example strongly feel I could never go down on a girl or let a girl do that to me, but I wouldn't be opposed in the future to seeing if I could kiss a girl or touch her breasts. This would maybe put me at a 2 or 3 on that scale. The same with a guy, most guys who are swingers (even the ones who consider themselves 100% straight) would be at least a 2 because they're comfortable being in the same room with another naked man in a sexual situation (IMO). Although this is still a long way from being truly bi which would be a 5.

I do strongly feel the potential is there for everybody though.
