Who makes the first move in swinging and how?

Recommended Posts

So I was thinking tonight how do you all make the first move and how? Say you are out with another couple and you go back to some place to play how do things get started? does everyone just jump right to it and strip down? is there foreplay involved?

i'm assuming it's different for first timers vs long timers.. so i'm really interested in knowing who makes the first move? is it the women or the men? how do you make the first move? just jump the person or make a more slow sly move?

:D

I'd like to know the answer as well. I've asked experienced swingers and to sum up thier answer "it's different." Now I'm new to the lifestyle so everyone is waiting for me to be ready. Last weekend I was indeed interested in getting started playing but no one brought it up and I didn't want to breach unspoken swinger ettiquet. (Really, I was just too darn shy to make the first move.) Any way, I'd love to hear what you guys have to say.

I never make the first move unless its with a single female who is doing the coy eye contact thing or "accidentally" brushing her breasts against my arm thing. In any other situation, I casually mention that I'm either there to talk or there to play in the conversation and keep my eyes open to what everyone else, especially the women, do. It is up to everyone to make their intentions known so noone has to make a first move.

Order yourself a pair of the "dirty dice." They're a great icebreaker when you know there's mutual interest but nobody seems to want to move first. There are other variations on this (games like nooki, between the sheets, etc) if you're the type that wants to play for an hour before the clothes start coming off. We like the dice though, because they're simple, provide instant gratification (not the bad kind  and are portable (you can take them to your local club).

I have never seen those before, But looks like a must have item to us. It sounds like a lot of fun and would be a great way to get things started.facelick

For us it's whoever gets naked first makes the first move.

Once you get to the hotel or the house, you know what you are there for!!!!

Hopefully any questions have been answered before you get to this point. No means no even here.

First timers -vs- long timers? You still know how to do IT:fun: So just do it:8-0::

The dirty dice game is good so are some adult version board games. I played one not to long ago I really liked where played cards kind of like poker and who won the round picked a card then picked a player to do the things written on the card. Got steamy real fast. Soon forget about card game and just let nature take its course.:fun:

Basically it depends on the crowd or the party you attended.

Every party/club/crowd is different for the level of soft or hard core swinging and most of the time you can recognize the situation as you attend the party or the play area.

Pretty much we are mature enough to decide if we like to just jump in, or still need more foreplay to warm up.

Then again most of the time it’s better for female partners break the ice with some soft foreplay and get the guys involved.

Hope this helped.

The first time we went to a swing party was just to look around and get a feel of things. We sat at a table and nursed a couple of drinks and finally got up to dance a little. It seemed everyone there already knew each other and we felt a little left out. We didn't even think anyone noticed us. After a while I got up to go to the john and 2 guys followed me in there. Both guys were interested in meeting us and introducing their wives to us. These were 2 separate couples that didn't know each other. They both said that since we were sitting by ourselves they didn't know if we were just voyeurs or were there to actually make contact with other couples.

I guess if you do want to play you have to act like it;) .

Once we finally did meet a couple we wanted to play with we went to their house (after meeting at a restaurant first) ,we all knew what we were there for so as soon as the woman came over and sat on my lap it was full speed ahead.

This is a great question...

I've noticed that every time we've gotten together with someone after we wind up at the house, hotel or where ever , that we will sit around and talk until the cows come home if I didn't finally just get up and say "soooo...Let's do this" as I walk away taking my shirt off. That usually gets everyone moving.

He would prefer I go into the room and change into something slutty, come back into the living room and lay on the coffee table spread eagle. I figure this would only work with single men and we don't do the single guy thing too often.

We've never tried any games. Each situation is different and if you are comfortable enough to go rub up against the other guy or girl I say go for it. My preference is to start with my guy and then reach out to the other(s).

I'm sure in most situations the women are the ones that need to start things moving.

I think the erotic dice are a great way to start, have used them many times. If at a house, I think the host should take the responsibility to get things started. Well, geez, I guess it all depends...

We usually start out with a erotic board game or a game of strip poker but usually it has been already decided that we are going to play before we do. I usually get things started myself, but it just depends on the situation at the time.

Well, in my usual forthright way we ask. When we are all out somewhere and decide to go back to the hotel or our place or whereever, when we get to the place and are all sitting around wondering whos gonna start, I ask the other cpl a question. I say ok..are you guys interested in playing? The answer is, of course, yes..after all we know why we are all there. So I get up and take the other ladies hand and pull her toward me and kiss her..after that its all easy.

Ok, here's the problem. We do fine until it's time to, well, start the fun. We can't get in sync when we feel the right time is to start a move to the bedroom (couch is not fun friendly).

I guess its more my problem then for Mr. I want to be REALLY sure the other(s) is/are into it and ready.

What kind of signals should we give and what kind should I look for? Or should I be blunt and say well I'm off to the bedroom now, hope to see you there?

 Well, that approach has worked for us very well...I get very impatient at times when I'm wanting to play, so being blunt has always gotten me what I wanted.

Don't discount the couch as a starting place as well...like you I always thought of it as very uncomfortable. That was up until this past weekend when I was shown differently, lol...it made a very good starting place for the evenings activities.

Since everyone is there for the same reason I say just bring it up.

Chances are everyone else is thinking the same thing.

Or go into the bedroom and come back out into the livingroom naked. If that doesnt get the point across nothing will.

You could always do what the Mr. did last night and say 'so.....are we all going to get (naked)in the hottub or what?

He did. So we did. The rest is history. ;)

You could say something like ... 'Why are we all sitting here with our clothes on?.... Are we going to just talk all night, or what?'

Like TNT said, don't discount the sofa as a starting place. Sometimes it is a great place to break the ice!:D

It wasn't even our hot tub - it was THEIRS!!!!

That is what we were all there for( to swing) but no one would bring it up.

So I figured what the hell, and broke the ice.

And that definitely did it!!

Hi out there. I’m married and in an evolving relationship. Last year I did a burlesque photo shoot for him as a gift. He loved the way it turned out but asked if I’d be willing to do something more risqué in the future. I got a reference from the original photographer (female) and told my husband the new photographer would be a male. Being the protective husband he is we both requested a meeting over a cup of coffee. We met which was great and made things all the more comfortable. I loved what I saw from his book and my husband did as well.

We had the shoot and the pictures came out great. He got really turned on by knowing another guy was doing the pictures. I was shocked. I asked him if he’d consider doing a couples shoot with me and he said he’d try but was reluctant. Pretty soon after he agreed and we were off again.

Prior to the shoot my husband and the photographer talked about his career. My husband, who’s faithful, shocked me a bit with his envy and open talk about what the photographer experienced. I’m extremely open and joined in the conversation. Both of us felt like we were conversing with someone we really liked and knew a lot longer than we actually did. Unfortunately my husband had difficulties getting hard which is completely out of the ordinary. The photographer said it happened a lot and just to relax.

Surprisingly at my husband's request he asked for me to do a POV shoot the photographer showed us in his book. Basically it’s the photographer including himself in various ways while taking the pictures. As we started taking the pictures I liked being touched by the photographer even though it wasn’t active foreplay or sex. It really was strictly for the pictures themselves. During the pictures my husband quickly got hard and watched. Eventually the photographer asked him if he was going to get involved. The rest of the shoot went as we planned. Afterwards we all sat around and talked and went through the pictures.

Some time passed again and we talked a lot about the fun we had with it. My husband admitted he liked watching the photographer touch me and if not for that he may have been to nervous to get hard.

I really want this to develop further but I’m apprehensive because it’s a major change in life obviously. I’m also not sure about how I feel about seeing him with someone else. When I say I’m not sure I mean most likely not. I don’t even really think he wants to. I almost feel like if I bring that up it will be too much too fast. Multiple times when having sex we’ve dirty talked about me doing another shoot and giving myself up. I’d feel more comfortable to actually do it than talk about it.

I feel like my husband has opened a door that I want to walk into. Am I reading it wrong? Is it best for me to just set something else up and let it work itself the way it will? Based on our interactions I have no doubt the photographer would be into it also. Would I be going to far given our relationship if I reached out to the him and told him how I feel, how my husband feels, and confirm he’d say yes?

First of all I would like to apologise for my English , as it’s not my first language. I’m a married guy and I just told my wife that my fantasy is to have sex with her and to be watched. So my question is what is better as a first timer , to go with my wife to a swingers club or to just meet another couple and have same room sex. What do you guys suggest? I’m not into wife swap. I just love to be watched

Mods, if you can find a better forum for this thread, please do move it. I'm not sure where it fits.

I had a brain wave. I've been reading posts by newcomers to the lifestyle and I remember us being there ourselves. It's overwhelming, scary and you feel like a fish out of water. You don't know what's appropriate, what's not, and you have no idea what you should expect. There's such a huge learning curve, and I know it's kind of part of the experience, but still... I have to wonder how many of those monster mistakes could be avoided if couples had some guidance. Do we really need to make the painful mistakes to learn? Or could we still learn without the damage?

Why is there not something like a newbie boot camp? A one-week resort take-over dedicated to getting newbies started out right in the lifestyle? Workshops on such things as club or house party etiquette, how to host a house party, STD protection, "speed dating" for swingers (learning to communicate with your partner), how to read and write a great profile, communication workshops, getting-over-jealousy exercises, body image discussion groups, and maybe a discussion group where sensitive questions can be addressed anonymously (such as about penis size, having a medical condition, or a physical disability). And of course, lots of opportunity to socialize with other newbs and veterans alike.

We learned a lot from a more experienced couple, but we actually had our first full-swap experience with another "virgin" couple like ourselves. And it worked out great! Looking back, though, it's easy to see how many ways it could've gone wrong. Now that we consider ourselves more along the "veteran" end of the spectrum, we know it's important to "give back", and not avoid new couples. We've all been there, and we sure appreciated the guidance.

So what does everyone think? Does that sound like it would be a good idea, or would it be too intimidating?
    • By AdamInEve
We have read a few posts on this site about getting comfortable with others by easing into things slowly. Perhaps by playing naked games such as strip poker or truth or dare. We think this would be a good way for us as newbies to get comfortable with being naked around others in a sexually charged atmosphere. Perhaps the games could progress over a series of dates from just being naked to touching (erotic massage) to soft swap and hopefully all the way up to full swap. This way it might alleviate a good portion of the jealousy and nervousness that might accompany a first time straight on full swap.

Our question is this. It seems to us this would be a good way to start, but just how many seasoned swingers would actually be interested in answering an ad from a newbie couple that stated this is how they wanted to proceed? Would the more experienced swingers just pass this type of profile by?

Also, how would relatively new swingers, with just a few experiences under their belts respond (if at all) to a profile like this.
    • By intuition897
I'm curious to see what everyone's initial experiences were in this respect. Perhaps this has been polled already, but I'll try it again. So did you start out slowly and gradually with much talk, or did you just decide one night, on a lark, to hit a club and the rest was history?
