Shaving and the Law of Diminished Returns

I was talking to a (male) friend about the recent thread on shaving males. He doesn't shave but his wife does from time to time. According to him, the wife says the initial sensations that come from having 'bare' sex diminish over time, which is why she only shaves for 'special occasions.'

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

We both shave as do many of our swinger friends and we can say that the increased sensations we enjoy with smooth sex have not diminished over time. I have to agree. Shaved is the way to go. I love having my balls licked and when they're shaved (99% of the time) they're so sensitive.
The great thing about shaving is that if you do it and feel that you want a change you don't have to do anything, the hair will grow back in a few days. The bad thing is that once you stop shaving, and decide to go back, you have to trim it, etc to get to the regular easy shaves. So if you shave every day or two and make it a habit it's so easy.

I thought I'd jump in on this subject. There can't be too many subjects that are less controversial than pubic hair for a first post. I've just recently started shaving the boys and trimming the rest tight, and it has made a difference for both, the wife's and my pleasure . Since she keeps just a small patch, a nose nest if you will, and I make sure to get the area just above the shaft smooth, the additional sensations with complete penetration just get better as the fun continues. The more wetness, the better the little clitty kisses on impact are for both of us. I've also had no complaints from other ladies who've been privy to spend time in the neighborhood.

My husband and I have been reading a lot on this site and it's been very interesting. Some very lively conversations, to say the least.

Our 2 cents, we both prefer shaved to unshaved. It's much nicer not having stray hairs in our mouths after oral sex. And we both love the way each other looks all smooth and clean shaven. It takes a bit of practice to do it without cutting yourself, but it's well worth it.

Being Pubic Free for almost two years now I will say that the initial sensations that I felt during oral/penetration sex after first shaving, are not as strong as they were when I first totally shaved. But that doesn't mean that they have totally disappeared or even *diminished* greatly because they haven't, I'm just more *used* to feeling them. They can be heightened by a different approach, more concentrating on the sensations, etc...depends upon the situation and me.

What I find sad is that this woman is denying herself pleasure inbetween *special times* and something she obviously has found enjoyable. As with most things, sex is what YOU make of it.

I have to go with you Quin, it's still better and I'd never go back (two years for me too), but it's not 'new' anymore. I just like the smooth feel, how it looks and the lack of anything between me and my partner. J likes it better too! No more, "Hold on a second", followed by hair removal. My wife prefers the clean cut look. I don't really care one way or the other. She will shave on special occasions where I typically just trim the hedges.

I've found myself trimming things back more and more the last couple months, but I still haven't shaved it all off. What would be the best way to start, that isn't going to leave me wanting to change methods? Its a pain in the neck shaving my legs all the time, I'm wondering what is the easiest way to keep with it.

personally, i never shaved. i simply don't have the time.

and i don't want my gf to be shaved cos regular public hair is a good turn on for me. but i have no problem with female public free.

my gf has no idea if she wants to shave. since i love it, she doesn't shave most of the time. she just shaved 1 or 2 times for the sake of group sex.
