The Boston Globe had an article pertaining to women that have what is termed " Persistant Sexual Arousal Syndrome " . It mentions a woman who had as many as 200 small orgasms a day. A joy, no it is a nightmare which the Boston University Institute of Sexual Medicine is studying.

With all the inevitable joking aside (I did check the date to make sure that '01' and '04' didn't figure), it sounds like a living hell. When one woman says that it's worse than her breast cancer, and another says she'd sooner never have another orgasm in her life, it's a pretty damning assessment of the condition.

I just saw a bit on this topic on 20/20 or one of those shows recently. There are times when I feel like I am constantly aroused, but never to the point that it interferes with life.

The show that I watched had one couple on there where basically they couldn't even touch each other or kiss because it would arouse her.

I have actually heard of this condition before, and seen it "enacted" on a few T.V. shows--Grey's Anatomy for example. It really does seem to be no fun. All things in moderation takes on a whole new meaning here--as it truly is possible to have TOO much of a good thing to the point it becomes unpleasant. Imagine sitting in a teacher's conference with your kid for instance--and sudenly and without warning--having an orgasm spontaneously!! Can you say mortified lol!!!

Yeah - while it's rather amusing and funny in theory - to actually suffer from such an affliction would be horrible. It would psychologically ruin orgasms for you for the rest of your life. And damn, that'd be terrible.

On a lighter (but somewhat related) note... anyone ever seen the film "Orgazmo!" where the hero's weapon is this ray-gun on his hand which causes people to have spontaneous orgasm??

It would be a living hell. There would be a stigma attached to it -- like you're a nymphomaniac, and a physician, like the one at the first of the story would laugh it off and tell you how lucky you are and how lucky your man is. They wouldn't be able to wrap their heads around how disruptive it would be to every little minuscule facet of your life!

I think my wife would go over the edge if she was aroused all day long and never able to orgasm. Or simply having an orgasm again and again with no end in sight does sound like sanity. I hope they are able to provide a treatment or cure soon. I couldn't imagine as a man having an erection and then orgasming 200 times a day. After a few times, I would simply have nothing left to ejaculate.
