How long does your anal sex session last in terms of minutes. I have noticed my sessions while far and few have not lasted as long as normal intercourse so to gain an average on this lets do another rainy day poll. I find that the few times that we have done it were definitely not as long as vaginal intercourse. I am not a big fan of anal, so if it happens then I must be in a reeeaalllly good mood. But, I think that the idea of actually doing it and the tightness play a part in the length of time it lasts.

Like some of you mentioned I really have to be in the mood for it too. I do enjoy it when that time approaches however, but I do have to remind hubby to be generous with the lube. I think he gets a tad excited and the 'extra' lube tends to sometimes be forgotten. I personally don't like deep penetration, I like it about an 1"-2" in the best, slow and steady..not fast and furious. I find slower creates more intense pleasure for both of us. It does vary for us both on how long it lasts though. Think most important and succesful way for men to approach it is paying special attention to the amount of lube and being extremely gentle. If she wants more intensity, I think she'll let you know.

hmmmmmm is this the women who get their orgasms at light speed or the men who do this ? Generally it take longer for a woman to get an orgasm than for a male and this is the reason why some women get frustrated and that they fake having an orgasm. Men should be more careful always of the pleasure of their wife.

Well after reading some other posts on the board we put some things to the test last night. I realized the duration of anal sex depends sometimes on the man. As Mrs. Bama was taking an extra long time to reach orgasm I seemed to have no problem at all. 5 or so minutes of anal sex is all it took. Usually Mrs. Bama does not last as long at this as I do but with some of the techniques I learned from the other posts we both enjoyed a great night of lovemaking. I think this is truly a personal preference issue, rather than one being more right (or wrong) or even necessarily "better".

That said, the "doggie position" has worked best for me/us as I think perhaps it assists with accesibility. Remembering of course the improved accessibility means the fella has to definitely take care not to drive "deeper, faster or for longer" than his lady is equally happy with.

Nina Hartley's instructional video spends some time about planning and preparation well in advance of the activity. It cites oft-times forgotten factors such as: #1 - less heavy meals mid-day and evening #2 - colonic cleansing (enema) as part of the showering/bathing prior to physical intimacy.

Lots of practical, logical things can certainly enhance the pleasure. It seems the best advice is sometimes the most obvious, but I think anal sex is not something to be added to the evenings' repertoire on a moments whim if past attempts haven't been all that successful.
