New survey charts sexual behavior in teens and adults

Most adults are monogamous. Lots of teenagers are having sex. Lots are also heeding abstinence messages. Oral sex may be a gateway - and for some teens also a stopping point - on the way to vaginal sex. Women have more same-sex liaisons than men. Or at least are more comfortable talking about them.

What is the fascination with teen sex in our media? From the latest MTV show to this headline from the WaPo, there's an almost obsessive interest in what the young and inexperienced are up to.

Really, did this survey not even touch on the Lifestyle?

Grumble.

Yea, well teenagers can lie allot too....

And, as a parent though, I'm actually glad to see these numbers.

I was amazed that the number of heterosexual women (20-45 years old) that had some same-sex encounters was at about 10%. I thought it would have been higher.
