That of course got me to thinking and I thought it would be interesting to see what other thought erotic is, or what you think makes a person or situation erotic?

Erotic - for me it is "excitement" with an edge. Something that produces that queezy in your gut feeling in addition to the adrenaline surge. I find playing and watching sports exciting but definitely NOT erotic. Defining "erotic" is akin to defining "pornography", where in a Supreme Court decisions Justice Steven (I believe) said that it was difficult to define (porn) but "I know it when I see it". For me I can't really define "erotic" other than to say "I know it when I FEEL it".

To me, erotic is something/someone that makes me feel sexy, and makes me quiver. Someone telling me with their eyes that they want me is erotic. Sexy suggestions whispered in my ear are erotic, as are someone playing with my hair or kissing me . . . Sometimes it's the smells in the room, like scented candles or someone's cologne. Music can be erotic . . . Food can be erotic, too. Strawberries and whipped cream or chocolate . . . Little thoughts and dreams that wisp through my mind can be erotic . . .

If someone were to ask me if I am erotic, I would flutter my lashes and reply, "I can be."

To the male half of this pair the breasts showing through an opened blouse is the perfect example of erotic.

To the female half of the couple being the one whose breasts are showing for others to enjoy is erotic.

Maybe that defines erotic for us as being a voyeur and an exhibitionist. It is erotic to enjoy looking for one of us and being looked at for the other.
