Sexual addiction test

I saw an article about Tiger Woods and sexual addiction. It made me wonder about my own possible addiction so I took this test;

Man, was I surprised that I only scored a 7. And, my wife would probably think I cheated too! LOL!

Now I'd bet that society would consider swingers, all, sex addicts but I think not after taking the test myself.

Anyone else want to take it and share the results?

I scored a 4 and by this standard am not considered a sexual addict. I think the results can be misleading. I believe it's possible to answer many of the questions positively and not be an addict, or you can answer only a very few positively and still be an addict. It all comes down to analyzing yourself truthfully, and being honest enough with yourself to not fall into a state of denial.
I also think this test is a lot like similar tests to find out if you are an alcoholic. It's been many years since I took one of those but, supposedly, if you answer 3 out of 10 questions with a yes answer, you might be an alcoholic. Way back then, I did answer with 3 positives yet I am as certain as anybody else who knows me that I am not an alcoholic.
Another example, I go to work everyday, I can't live without it, I think about it often, it causes me to miss out on family time and other things that are important to me, and it does bother me if I miss time from work. That doesn't make me a workaholic. Oh crap, maybe I am one of those! The Mrs. thinks so!
Just the same, it is entertaining to take tests like these just to see if something new can be learned about yourself!

The further down the list of questions I went, the more prejudicial it seemed to me.

Buying romance novels!

The same (reworded) questions twice!

Unquantified amounts ("too much")!

Life style choices ("multiple partners", "S&M", "against the law", "internet/online")!

Physic knowledge ("parents have problems")!

Not subscribing to Puritan/moral majority values causes sex addiction!

PS: Following some of the links to figure out where Carnes is coming from leads to a comment that his test is primarily for males.

So if my "family members" would be upset, using mags et al is indicative of sexual addiction, if they would not be upset it's contraindicated. Or, as I've suspected all along with the whole sexual "addiction" thing, it's mismatched values and addiction is purely in the eye of the beholder.
