Well, it appears that those of us who accept our sexual extremes and aren't hypocritical about it aren't addicts at all! It's those who won't admit it to themselves, or their lovers, that are! Cool!

Ya know..... I'm tinkering with this since I have read many posts from people here. I'll bet I could raise everyones score a point or two, just by taking each question with a little closer examination.

Hey now, I scored a 2 as well.

I'd guess the only thing 'swinger' about it for me would be the multiple sexual relationships at the same time question. Other than that, I'm quite perfectly vanilla, non destructive sexually

Mine wazza seven (7).....It said my worst fears have been confirmed and that I'm confused and disorientated among other things. It also said they knew how I felt and that they could help me. They (SAST) has been helping people like me since 1983.

Now I don't know what to do or where to turn. They are probably correct. I am a dysfunctional human sex pervert. I thought I was just a "Normal Bloke" until I took this test and now, after the test I am realizing the root of all my problems scoped throught my entire life. It's all a pattern, I am now a confirmed sex addict.

Starting today I am throwing out all my porno tapes and CD's. I am deleting all my online accounts related to sexuality. I will promise myself never to visit another sexually orientated website or even look at any sexually provocative material. I promise I will go to church 3 times a week and beg for forgivnence. I will never make sexual advances twords my wife or any other woman again for as long as I live. I will train myself to think of things like coffee and butterflies whenever a sexual thought enters my mind....

For the sake of heaven...I feel free right now as I speak, I can do this..yes I can...I have lifted a thousand virgins from my shoulders....damn...there are those thoughts again......

I(male half) scored a 5. Kinda disappointing actually. lol I thought I'd be a bit more freaky than that. Seriously though a great deal of those questions are very subjective and also deal with guilt and secrecy. I think we're more "out there" than most people sexually but that does not make us addicts. It is just our comfort level. It's all a matter of perspective.

I am not sure why people are complaining they scored 'low' on an addiction screening type test.

The whole issue with guilt and secrecy would play into that, as a BAD thing.

I was joking. I compare being "addicted" to air or water to being "addicted" to sex. People will go to great links for sexual gratification. Everyone has a different level of drive and desire. As long as you're not doing anything "wrong" such as engaging in illegal sex with minors or goats or something of that nature, or neglecting your other obligations what's the issue. The issue with subjective questions in an addiction questionnaire is just that. It's subjective. And addicts almost never think they're addicted. Again. It's all about perspective. If you don't believe me go down to your local church and tell the preacher what you do and see if he does not tell you you have a problem and need "help".
