You know, amsingsub, when you don't get the answers you want, it doesn't mean that the people you are polling are lying, it might mean that your assumptions were incorrect. Most of the swingers that I have met are not into one-nighters- while they happen, playing with people more than once is the norm in the circles we swing with. So, while our numbers may be higher than in the non-swinging world in general, they are probably lower than the extremely sexually active non-swinger.

It is not that i didnt get the answers i wanted, it was that i didnt get the NUMBER of answers i wanted. i had no expectations or assumptions about the general number of partners people here would have. However given the size of the membership (well over 1000 active members) pure statistics/probability dictates that there must be a few centurions here.

You've had 42 votes which, especially for this topic, is quite a lot in the short time it has been posted. "Numbers" are a touchy subject for some. But I think the fact that you see so many votes in the "lower" numbers is a pretty good indication that people are being honest.

Also keep in mind while there may be 1000 active members, not all read every thread, answer every thread (You are a good example actually. Out of 29 posts, 27 are to threads that you started) or even really participate in swinging. There are a lot of lurkers, curious people, etc.

I hope more people answer the poll for you, but as of now, you are doing better than you think.

Julie makes a very good point (as is usual)! Over the years the numbers seem to dim, and the "quantity" is not something ever reflected upon in specific numbers. Like Julie, too, I suspect, we have no trouble remembering the great ones, and even the ones we'd like the opportunity to repeat... again, a time or three.

Novice swing couples, early on into the experience, seem to yearn toward more (just #'s) experiences. It seems that the "seasoned" swinging couples we encounter, are not interested so much in the quantity of the couples with whom they share sexual play, rather adding "an" additional couple to their experience. With some it is "the more the merrier" and with some it is "the merrier with just the right couple"

Mrs Co and I met a little less than a decade ago. We both had prior marriages. We both were "mature" singles for a time. I was quite a bit more sexually active (in terms of #'s) than Mrs. Co. We did have enough experience and experiences that we knew we wanted to experience the rest of what life has to offer as a married couple. Some of what "life has to offer" is the sexual play with other married couples. Neither of us are interested or focused whatsoever in attaining more #'s of sexual partners, rather our focus is locating/discovering that special couple interested in the erotic exploration of a mutually satisfying friendship.

I found this part of cocpl2007's post interesting, as we have found the opposite to be true more than not in the people we've met, at least when it comes to new couples. We find new couples to be more tentative and more interested in being "friends first" as opposed to being interested in numbers.

And just recently, we've had some seasoned swinger friends who seemed interested in knowing how many couples we've been with. The implication was that there comes some number when we've been with "too many" to seem palatable to them. WTF? Or maybe they were just being nosy.

The way I see it, if you've been active in swinging for long enough, you're going to accumulate numbers. And that's not a bad thing, nor a good thing. It just is. The important thing is the quality of the experience with each couple, not how many other partners they've had.

Well, I never kept count of the girls I had fucked but I would guess it was around 50 as we were quite active in swinging for several yers.
