With the right partner for me, anal sex can be incredible. The sensation building can be more intense at times than vaginal. And depending upon the build of the man the variety of positions may be more fulfilling than similar ones vaginally. Quite often my desire for it can be such that lubrication is completely unncessary. It has never gotten boring for me when done well. Changes in lubes used, posititions, movements maybe some of what keeps it from being same-o-same-o.

The desire to engage anally is sometimes a question of intimacy, sometimes pure fun and playfulness, at other times raw sexual power.

Having said all that, it is not something I engage in all the time. Requires the "right" connection. And that is hard to explain.

I tried it a LONG time ago with a then-boyfriend and it wasn't the best, but I could see potential for serious pleasure! It's a whole different sensation, but requires the "catcher" to be very, very relaxed to be enjoyable. In my opinion, I see anal sex as dominating.

Its even in common vulgarity such as 'If the fucker doesn't do this I'm going to fuck him up the mother fucking ass'. (that quote btw was from an M.D.)

I don't have the quotes and such to prove it, but I've often seen it used in such a context.

Personally I don't get it at all. I tried it to see what the big deal was, but having very slow sex in way to tight a hole just doesn't do it for me. You have wrong hole and then a perfect hole just a few inches down.

Easy choice for me, I don't' get off on dominating and while I'm not hung like a horse, I'm girthy enough that its not going to be normally fun for most women either.

So if it floats your boat and your partners I have no issue with it, its just not something I care for.

Chicup I can see your point about dominating through anal sex. Yes, there are times it can be that way. But what about the moments when it is loving, or tender, or a pure intimate connection having nothing to do with domination. After all, in the case of a heterosexual couple, the woman can be atop a man for anal penetration thereby for some, possilby taking away most, if not all, of the male domination aspect as you describe it. Just a thought.
