Kind of odd condom question...

I'm a bit of a lurker around here but was thinking about some things today and decided to post. Just to paint the picture here, my wife and I have been married for 3 years but have been together for about 8. We have a one-sided open marriage where she's allowed to date other guys and have sex with them if she so pleases.

Are there any husbands and wives out there who have a playfull little rule about sex where the husband has to wear a condom during sex but the wives boyfriends are not required to? I know it seems like a little bit of a wierd question but the reason I ask is that for some reason when I wear a condom while having sex with the wife, it somehow intensifies the sex. And just to let you know...I had a vasectomy a couple of years ago, so it has nothing to do with birth control. My wife isn't MAKING me wear one or anything but I do because it helps me last a little longer and there's just something about it that makes things a little hotter.

In the past we did have such a rule where I wasn't allowed in her without a condom unless she had just been with one of her boyfriends. (who she always had sex with no condom). That rule lasted all of about 6 months because I hated condoms back then.

I'm having a hard time understanding the psychology of this. Maybe I'm overthinking it....maybe it's just as simple as "whatever makes it hotter, do it".

It is an odd question to me

Long before we were Swinging.... Back in the day, We got married young. That ment that fun4ds never had to wear a rubber. I noticed after scrounging around in the shop looking for something one day. They were stashed everywhere I was like WTF dude . We're married, and nobody better be hiding something like this behind my back. He confessed he would by them at gas stations. Why ? Well , Its a guy thing It was because he felt like he missed out on something like other guys. I know that sounds strange, but its the truth. He even wanted to wear them sometimes. Going bare back was the only sex he had ever had with me. I felt more sorry for him buying the things for like 10 years and not being able to ask me to indulge in something like this. He did try many years earlier and I was like WTF again. I gave him a little bit of a rough time over it and he never asked or attempted again.

I saw how it made him feel. I didnt understand. I took it offencevely back then. Then I thought well, its pretty mild compared to the other kinky stuff he liked doing so we started doing it with rubbers.

I was trying to relate to how you feel. This puts a twist or new meaning then.

I'm not quite sure why it seems to make things better. I mean, they do help me last a little longer than going bare. Which is why my wife doesn't mind me using one. She doesn't particularly like condoms and rarely has ever used them in her past. Even when she's seeing other guys, once she gets to know them and they move onto to having sex she doesn't make him use one.

What happened was you reprogrammed your mind to associate condoms with good sex. Every time you wore one after she fucked someone else, your brain associated wearing a condom with the previous experience.

This technique is how you get men to appreciate condoms. Make them wear it when they masturbate and have sex until they get used to it and whenever sex is brought up they won't associate condoms with being an inhibitor in sex.

Remember sex really is all about the mind and how you perceive things.
