My wife and I used to have anal sex once a month, then we stopped for a couple of years. I have been wanting to start again but she is concerned about the pain, some of which she had before we stopped. What is the best position for anal sex that limits the females pain.
FYI- Once I was in her for a minute or so a few years ago the pain stopped and felt good.

If you are using LOTS of lube and spending LOTS of time warming her up there should be no pain. And I don't mean a 5 second poke with your finger.

I always found the best position was lying on my side and my partner entering me from behind as he lies on his side also.

My advice: spend some time with a finger (and lube for certain). You will feel things start to loosen up...then try a second finger, and so on. Once the muscle is more stretched out, there shouldn't be any pain.

We have found astroglide works best for lube.Play for a little bit as others have said a small butt plug helps..The side is good also her on her belly and go slow when entering seems to work for us...

I'd have to say that everyone is right. Astroglide or warming vasoline work for me and my wife and while it is only happens once in a blue moon would have to say that alcohol works wonders. Especially with the loosening up cus she tends to have trouble relaxing those muscles when she is sober. I enjoy the girl on top but prefer girl on bottom with her feet on my shoulders, heels keep her in place and she is positioned just right for ease of penetration.

I'm not big on anal sex. Have done it a few times. If you know your partner really wants to, you tend to be worried they won't be patient enough to get you relaxed enough and just want to get down to it.

Some discomfort might be expected, but high levels of pain? No. Of course, we all define pain and discomfort differently...so just go with what your wife is telling you.

Some of the best 'lube' for anal I've ever used was baby oil. I know, I know...not really condom safe, but it was with my ex-hubby and we didn't use condoms (and he would go shower off before resuming vaginal penetration).

Now...take the entire bottle of baby oil (you know, one of the big ones...not a travel size). Squirt some in your hand, and rub your hands together. Then start rubbing her shoulders...and down her back...over her booty...down the backs of her legs. You get the idea. Give her a massage with the oil. (First step: throw down some old sheets you don't mind getting messy and have towels handy if you like...and have her hair pulled up, it's a beyotch to wash out lol) Get her relaxed.

During the massage slip your hands down and oil up all her private bits too, so you can easily slide a finger into her (anally or vaginally)...but just a few strokes and then go back to the massage. Alcohol does help.

We like it with her on her back with a pillow under her for elevation. Lots of lube and a slow slide in. We find that on the back lets her take all of me (something she likes to know she is doing) and gives her relaxed access to her clit.
