Another from the male point of view. I really like my shaved 'twig and berries'. I have had no trouble trimming the crotch area and shaving the shaft and sack completely.

I did shave the crotch area at first, but it was VERY uncooperative. I just couldn't seem to get it all shaved down smooth. So I've let it grow back in to just over a 1/4 inch.

Fortunately for me I've got some Native American blood and so my body hair is quite sparse. I don't have any obvious transition from the shaved area to the shaved area and all my 'stubble' down there is very soft and not itchy at all.

I don't have a preference. If things are trimmed a bit, that ok. Shaved is ok too...but where do you draw the line? I think I would find it visually 'odd' for a man to be totally shaved in the pubic area...but then have a 'line' where the chest hair begins (for those guys that are particuarly fuzzy...if the man is pretty sparse in the tummy/chest hair area, there wouldn't be such a dramatic difference visually for me).

I had never even thought of shaving until I got a vasectomy and had to shave the gonads. Turned out my wife really enjoyed getting her mouth on things after I shaved, so I started doing it regularly. I'm a pretty hairy guy, so I've continued shaving the nuts and shaft, trimming to a short "landing strip" above, and I've added trimming my leg hair, chest hair, trimming my underarms, shaving my back, etc. All my body hair is either shaved or shortly trimmed, and even though it's a bit of work, I have to admit I really like it. I understand that a "shave" is smooth but wouldn't a "trim" mean stubble? Also, how often does one "shave" is it usually every day?

Trimming shouldn't leave "stubble" if its done where you leave a fair length (like 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch) ...it'll vary depending on the fella & his hair-growth.

I prefer to shave everything down below and along the edges (leaving a small tuft on the very top which I keep trimmed short)

My experience is that I like them shaved or at least trimmed, my husband wants me soft and bare then I want the same. This is something he just started doing over the last year or so I have been doing it for years. And I have to tell ya......he gets alot more oral than he ever used to......we don't like picking hair out of our teeth or the back of our throats any more than you guys do.
