So as I was bent over this evening, enjoying what I believed was to be my "anniversa-quickie-ry" because my husband had to get to work, I found my mind wandering to the days when we were teenagers and a quickie was literally 3 minutes long... my boyfriend and I could get it on in between the time it took for his mother to walk to the end of the driveway to get the mail and by the time she made it back we were done and satisfied. Now a quickie seems to be 10 to 15 minutes.. and I am not complaining but sometimes I wish I could go back to the days where we could "get 'er done" and not have to worry about the kidlet walking in on us because we are taking to long.

So tell me, how long are 'your' quickies? Are my expectations of quick just too darn quick or are our quickies not really quickies.. or should I shut up and not question things?

Hmm 3 to 4 min, is quite hard .Is this also including clothing removal and clean up? Then again if you havnt had any contact in say a week this could be possible. not saying orgasms but just a quick version of what might happen later on in the evening is always exciting.

The key is to wear loose clothing with elastic waist bands I would figure. Gym pants, pajama bottoms, would be a good start in this scenerio.

3-4 minutes of acutal penetration - and was only *when we were horny teenagers - now we are horny adults* and for 3-4 minutes things definately had to be very hard! I just had forgotten that things were so much faster back then and wondered what other people considered a "real" quickie

Quickie? What's that? Our shortest time (start to finish) is about 15 minutes! As for the kidlets, that's why they invented the PS2, lol!

Our "quickies" last probably five minutes or so since that is about all the time we have before the youngest (5) figures out we're missing from the room.

We want more longies, but the quickies seem to be most of our sex these days unless we are away from home.

5 minutes would be great because our 7 year old is always banging on the door after about 5 minutes - that way we could just have quickies all over the place all the time... which I enjoy - but 5 minutes is not happening!!!

20 minutes is our best - and that was because we did it during our lunch break. And were we thrusting? Oh yes - fats and furious - watching the clock.

While it is not often, I will finish quicker than that, but there is usually a lot of foreplay prior...

When I'm hanging upside down in the sex swing (not ours) that only has two back straps, and I'm starting to get dizzy.

When I'm in the hospital following surgery (4 weeks ago). He wouldn't agree to it, but I suggested it anyway. My mind's always working.

When we're traveling, and stop at a State Park.

Oh I hear you on those ones... there are just times when a quickie is the way to go to get it done! They can be great. Too many time have we almost been caught in compromising postions by our daughter and so I guess we will have to embrace caution if we are going to have the "marathon" quickies... oh well... LOL

I am going for the mental foreplay that happens that then requires a quickie for some relief/satisfaction that just MUST be had.... if I added foreplay to the session it wouldnt even come close to being a quickie. It is the conversation at work that excites us that makes me drive the 7 minutes home on my half an hour lunch break that I want the 5-10 minute quickie so I can go back to work and shiver for the rest of the day when I think about it... unfortunately I have to take much longer so I cant do it more often... thus the wonder of how long other peoples quickies were !

Ours usually 10mins, and our children are big enough (10 & 12yo) so by now they know that if they knock on the door they "will get it". Quickies are also when we know that we won't be seeing each other till late night.

5-10 minutes, including warmup and cool down.

For us, quickies are for when life gets in the way, which happens too frequently although we have made a conscious effort and improved on that. We can have a "let's go to bed early" evening planned, but then there is more homework than usual that night to help with, one or the other of us has to work late, etc, etc. Before you know it, the only time left is for a quickie.

As someone stated in another recent thread, for us it is important to just get away when we can. Get away from the house, and all of those roadblocks seem to disappear.
