There could be so much that could cause your wife to have a headache after orgasm. Not enough oxygen, or not drinking enough water throughout the day, stress......its really endless. I have experienced them every once in awhile and I have found that my cause is not drinking enough water. But thats just me. I would suggest asking her doctor maybe he can help. Just my two cents maybe someone else has more information |

This could be because of the massive release of Seratonin during orgasm, seratonin is also an aid in conducting electrical pulses thruout the brain, she might just be receiving an overload of stimulii in the brain. Drugs that cause the release of seratonin are used o trat depression as seratonin is the "feel good" hormone, this is why the same drugs are also used to treat brain injuries that mimic the same problems as seratonin..the lack of proper conductivyt between sections of the brain.

) that there is a small, but real, chance that it can indicate an aneurysm. J had this happen about 6 months ago. The ER people treated it very seriously and she had a CT scan right away. Fortunately, it turned out to be just a massive sinus infection, whew!-B

This is a huge subject for me. Sometimes right when I come I have a HORRIBLE headache. It is so painful that I can't even breathe. I thought this was something that could never even be addressed. THanks for all of your posts on this one. I sure am glad to know its not just me. John. |

This happened to me (male) in January, for the first time, and the pain was indeed severe. The headaches continued to occur with orgasm for approximately two weeks and then stopped. I've had no problems since. "A team of German researchers has begun to investigate the phenomenon of sexual headaches - a condition known as Orgasmic Cephalgia. They have discovered that it is three times more likely to strike men. The headaches usually come on suddenly around the point of orgasm, and can be very severe. The researchers believe the condition affects around one in a 100 people at least once during a lifetime, but some people are afflicted on a regular basis. Although the precise causes are not yet understood, it is thought that the condition may be linked to the increased blood flow and dilation of blood vessels that occur during sex. The German team is carrying out research aimed at solving the mystery. They stress that people do not develop the condition as a result of particular partners or sexual habits. Neither is it linked to any form of brain damage or disease. ... Typically, sexual headaches appeared in bouts of a few weeks duration and resolved themselves spontaneously. Most patients had only one bout while others had two or three. " http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/2367201.stm Another link: http://www.headachepainfree.com/sexual_headache.htm |

I have had this many times. It usually is when I am about to come and am interupted by an external interuption. The pain is so severe that it just about knocks me out. I have had this happen about 5 times in 10 years. When it happens it is HORRIBLE. john |

Does anyone have an opposite effect? As long as I don't have anything close to a migrane before sex, achieving orgasm tends to relieve my headache. My mother always said I was abnormal. Lori |

Hi everybody, The headache John is talking about I have had already experienced twice and when it occured I thought that I should have a "rupture d'anévrisme" (anevrism rupture ?) and that I should be dying while having an orgasm... scary but i prefer to die this way after all ![]() I also must say that more commonly when I get a cold and that I have difficulties to breath the fact I have an orgasm unblock my nose - not always but more often to be just a coincidence in my case. The first time it occured was an unexpected side effect... Now I use the orgasm as a "soft cure" against cold effect when my nose is blocked ![]() Have a nice day here JC |

I use to have this problem and found it was related to jaw alinement. When your about to cum your hole body tenses up and my jaw was pulling harder on one side that the other. It was weard at first "thought is was a tumer or somthing " but after a while was able to control it.

I have but one thing to say. That isn't gonna fly with most women. Ya'll get the slightest sniffle and we run ourselves ragged having to pamper you AND then want us to have sex to help cure it too? I can just see it now. ![]() Ya'll crack me up. Men...they'll stop at nothing. ![]() Lori
