Thanks for clearing this up. I have always wondered how anal sex in the porn movies was so *clean*. This makes perfect sense now.

Additionally, I am going to assume that most females were taught proper toilet tissue etiquitte in the same way I was and how I trained my daughters. Due to the bacteria in the anal cavity which can cause severe problems if it gets into the vaginal cavity or the uretha, I was taught to always clean myself away from the anal area. In other words, wipe forwards from the front and backwards from the rear to reduce the risk of spreading bacteria.

My belief would be that if people performed these sort of sexual acts moving from one area to another, without thorough cleansing, they are setting themselves up for a bacterial infection.

The porn industry has its own terminology for going from anal sex to oral sex. It's called "ass to mouth," "ATM" or "A2M." It's become very common in the past three years or so. I would presume that Mindy is referring to female condoms. I have not seen one personally in about 5-6 years. It is inserted into the vagina. there is a ring around one end that is sort of held in place by the cervix, it has roughly the volume of a coke can untill inserted and an open ring end hangs out of the vagina entrance slightly. Just an alternative to a condom. I hope that helps. My description sucks.

We've (along with some friends) have tried them a couple of times. Here's what we think:

Upside:

- Provides protection against pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
- Eliminates the woman's concern that the man won't wear a condom. She can take precautions to protect herself from pregnancy and STDs without relying on the male condom.
- Can be used during menstruation, or pregnancy, or after a recent child birth.

Downside:

- The woman is not aware of warm fluid entering her body (important to some women, not to others).
- Friction of the condom may diminish clitoral stimulation and reduce lubrication, making intercourse less enjoyable or even uncomfortable. (Using the provided lubricant may alleviate this problem.)
- The condom may make noise. (Using the lubricant may alleviate this problem.)
- Irritation and allergic reactions may occur.

Something I was sure that someone would mention, yet no one did, was that porn is all about fantasy and therefor, shouldn't be used as a realistic guide for your sex life. Sure, you can get some ideas here and there, but don't treat it like gospel, especially when it comes to health issues.
