Definitive Penis Size Survey

I just found the most complete & informative site I've ever seen on penis size. It's called The Definitive Penis Size Survey & there's all sorts of interesting statistical stuff on there ... it puts my little poll to shame .

Most relative to MY poll is the site's instructions for measuring the penis ... it's similar to my "topside" method but offers the option of taking the measurement standing up or lying down. The "underside" method is not even an option, though flacid penis and stretched flacid penis measurements ARE included.

For those who want to know how they compare to others, you can actually take the test and see where you fit in!

Ok, ok for the first time since I was in highschool I decided to measure and found out I was just what I suspected all along.

Average + Endowed.

Does this mean I can add 'endowed' to my sls profile (and yes thats a joke)

Two quotes from the "study" website:

1. "The author humbly reminds one and all that in order to arrive at valid answers to the above questions, it will be necessary to assume that all participants are acting in good faith by providing accurate and precise data."

Yeah, that reassures me as to the validity of the data. :rollseyes

2. "In an attempt to determine the accuracy of data submitted thus far, a "Measurement Verification Project" (MVP) is being undertaken. If you have the means to take an erect measurement photo of yourself, either digitally or conventionally, and would like to participate, then please consult the MVP Homepage for more information."

Why do I sense that this is really just an elaborate pic collection scheme?

As someone who used to do research (though not in penis size heh) it seems pretty well done. It could of course, also be a picture collection scheme on top of a well done study

Chicup, I think Edwards did a lot of interesting data manipulation, but to me the input data appears suspect because of the method of collection. He's relying on data supplied by a self-selected sample, and although he gives recommendations on how to measure, he's counting on these guys all measuring themselves with the same exactitude AND truthfully reporting their dimensions. Too many opportunities for errors, and shenanigans, as far as I'm concerned.

"Modest" Thrax

This is saddly a very common technique in most research. The ideals are obvious, but unless you get a mega grant it can't be made a reality.

He's also identified that very issue as a concern and has another study by which he hopes to verify that his results AREN'T "errors and shenanigans" .... check out this sub-page to the study.

Well, maybe this is on the up-and-up...so to speak...but since I'm a cynical/suspicious kind o' guy that makes it seem even more like pic collection...PLUS!

Personally, I'd be a little leery of his study beyond supplying him with basic data, especially since he is doing this mostly on his own (or that's what I figured out from his website). I've participated in (non-sexual) physiological studies at local universities and hospitals. Any tests or examinations were performed in recognizable university and/or hospital facilities. It's not clear to me where this guy is operating. If I was a potential participant, I'd be wantin' to know where his "examinations" were being performed.

Yeah, call me suspicious.

And one of the findings: "...the difference in flaccid length between those who are reluctant to potentially expose their penis to public scrutiny and those who are not remained strong (81.0mm or 3.2" vs. 89.6mm or 3.5" respectively p<0.001). A larger difference however, existed with respect to erect lengths (166.8mm or 6.6" vs. 153.3mm or 6.1" respectively p<0.001)."


If one assumes that male swingers are more likely to expose their penis in public than the average population - then swinging activity and penis size are positively correlated. An aroused male swinger has a half-inch length advantage over his vanilla counterpart.

Correlation is not indicative of causality.

Presumably, men with smaller instruments are less likely to expose themselves to others, whereas men with greater penis length are more inclined to 'show off' their goods. So, if you knew that a particular man has an exhibitionist tendency (as is probably true of most male swingers), you would be wise (based on the data) to assume that he also has above average length.

On an airliner, the fasten-safety-belt light usually illuminates just prior to the onset of air turbulence. But the light does not cause the air turbulence...(as far as we know).

You have apoint here, and made me change my mind: I was about to write an airline asking them to get rid of these fucking labels. I was blaming them not only for the turbulence, also for my sickness feeling during that flight.
