Naive question: What does it mean when a couple says they want to engage in "mutual masturbation" with another couple?

We're hoping it involves touching of others, but we're not sure.

It's difficult to believe that two couple's would get together so that each person can stimulate theirself - but the definition suggests we shouldn't make any firm assumptions.

Well, it could be an easy way for a couple to ease their way into the lifestyle....get used to being naked and sexual in front of others and then go from there.

But I agree, why go through all the hassle of setting up a date with another couple just to do it yourself.

I agree that getting with another couple to do this kind of sounds, for lack of a better way to put it, a waste of time. If we meet a couple that wanted to ease into the lifestyle by getting use to being sexual in front of others we would probably just suggest same room sex. I think for most people it's hard to think about masturbating in front of someone because that normally tends to be a private activity. So it would see to be easier to have sex with your spouse in front of someone else then to masturbate in front of them to get yourself "out there" sexually.

All that said Spoomonkey and I mutually masturbate to porn together during my female off time each month. I usually follow it up with a for Spoo...because I really like too facelick

I agree 100% with you S Shelby......I was just wild guessing....because as you said..it would be a waste of time ....to masturbate individually...unless it means each woman masturbating the men...and then ea man masturbating a woman w a dildo or so....but....kind of complicated.....there is no way I would go for that....having in front of you a gorgous woman....a sexy being....why limit yourself to masturbation????

Just to throw another opinion in here - some people get off watching other's play with themselves. My hubby loves to watch me masterbate, and I like to watch him. Some nights when I am not in the mood for fun, he will masturbate right next to me in bed (I usually ask him to do it on his knees so I can grab his ass while he goes to work!). In the end, I usually get so turned on that I have to relieve myself as well.

So, with that said, I could also see where a couple might get off watching another couple masturbating. It is such a forbidden/socially taboo activity - at least that is the way it has been portrayed by society for many of us. (There is nothing quite as humiliating as getting busted masturbating.) Couples wanting to meet for mutual masterbation also call these "Jack & Jill" parties. I've seen them advertised here in Reno regularly but have never attended. Meeting up with another couple or group for masturbation only does not interest us at all.

I would not be into meeting up with another couple for mutual masturbation only, but as a form of foreplay, it works better than anything else for me. In the past, when I saw the term "mutual masturbation", I always assumed that if two straight couples are involved then Male1 would masturbate Female2 and vice versa, and Female1 would masturbate Male2 and vice versa. So, basically, it would be a handjob and fingering/flicking party. I never was under the impression that it was just four people sitting around masturbating...

2jersey, I suggest that if you find a "mutual masturbation" couple attractive, then contact them and ask them exactly what they mean by that term. If the definition fits what you will accept, then go for it.

For me, trading a fingering/flicking episode for a handjob would occasionally to the trick if intercourse or a bj wasn't a possibility. But, then again, I'm a single male...
