How do you measure your penis and how long is it by that method?

As the title says, this is a poll on how men measure their penis, and by that method, how long is it?

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING DEFINITIONS BEFORE VOTING.

I've only offered two methods of measurement cuz of polling option restrictions. Hopefully these are the two most common. Please choose one of the methods and then choose your length using that method.

Definitions:

Topside = lying on your back, with the erect penis held facing the ceiling, measure from the pubic bone to the tip.

Underside = lying on your back, with the erect penis lying on the stomach, measure from where the scrotum meets the shaft to the tip

Remember, this is anonymous, so please don't exaggerate

Also, women can vote on behalf of their partners as long as their partners don't vote as well.

Just to get things started, my husband and I think the topside method is the most accurate and un-fudgeable, so we use it ... by that method, he's exactly 7".

I was thinking we could vote twice, one didn't register. I didn't have much of a difference in the two measurements.

why is women insisting on a large penis, when the statistics that I see is that there are more 5.5 to6 in penises around?? I ask this becasue, from what I see, there is not enough big dicks for all this women that claim size as a preference. Thsi brings me to think, there is a problem in human sexuality...women want larger penises......and men do not have them....what are we really saying as a species????

I think it is fairly well agreed that the proper way to measure it is from the pubic bone on top. To see the results of the previous poll you can go to this thread.

I did check out that link before I started the poll. From what I could see (I admit I scanned the thread fairly quickly) it didn't talk about the method used to determine the measurements.

I have asked many people over the years what is the "proper" measurement technique and there seems to be two main camps ... the Topsiders and the Undersiders.

My goal in starting this poll, is to see not only what the overall range of penis length is (which is what the poll you mentioned shows), but also to see what percentage of people use the topside method versus the underside method, and whether or not the method used has any bearing on the mean length.

I have some theories that the results will either validate or blow away, but I don't want to influence people's input by presenting my theories at this point.

]Its not "How Deep you Fish!- It's How you Wiggle the worm!!! And please dont forget "age", causes "shrinkage" too...Sure those young studs can get it up 3 times in a hour- But They Only Think About Themselfs!, where us bit older guys, take 3 hours for 1 time...Making sure the Ladys had here 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & On, before a bit olderthinks about our own pleaseurs. - Thats how this confirmed Gentleman/ & Dirty 'ol Man all in 1 thinks.

yes...but I would like some female opinion....what about the fact that women insist on large penises?, when the statistics that I see is that there are more 5.5 to 6 in penises around?? I ask this becasue, from what I see, there is not enough big dicks for all this women that claim size as a preference. This brings me to think, there is a problem in human sexuality...women want larger penises......and men do not have them....what are we really saying as a species????

I am 15"...

The method I use is I measure the topside and add it to the bottom side - since both parts are going in... Scientific? I think not - but I'm a monkey and science isn't all that important to me.

Wait - are we talking topside of the penis or the foot?

That may cause me to reevaluate...

Actually their are one or two threads here where that is discussed at length (no pun intended). When I have more time I'll see if I can find them for you.

It may be a fact that some women prefer a large penis, I think it is actually very few. In other words they are in the minority from what I've seen. Therefore, I doubt that their is any shortage of oversize guys to fill that need. In fact, my guess is, that if a guy with a giant weiner posted an ad on Swing Lifestyle or a similar sight saying he is bigger than average and has a picture to prove it, he will probably get less response to the ad than if he had a nice ad and didn't refer to his penis at all. And I am not saying this because I have a little penis. Mine is above average in length and as far as I know that has never been a deciding factor on whether or not a woman wanted to have sex with me. In fact, I've never met one that seemed to care enough to wonder what size I was before we commited to sex. As others have said most women are more impressed by technique than size or shape.

I'm not sure but we probably have, in this post the poster included a penis volume chart, which is pretty close.
