I have to agree with you on that viewpoint but who said they (or we) were actively "seeking out" other men to do it with? We were already in the same place on other social business and it just came up. No-one was seeking anyone out for the purpose

Ok, now I'll bite - who said it was a "fact"? Who taught you not to do it front of other people? If you are "taught" that, then it was by someone else who felt it was a shameful act and passed that "knowledge" on to you. Masturbation is healthy and is NOT a shameful act. We generally don't do it in public simply because we know that there are some people like you who might be offended by it.

If someone not only seeks out the same sex to masturbate with AND is able to overcome their shame due to their inner desires, I can't see them also being '100%' straight.

But your first assumption was incorrect. No-one was seeking them out. If they were, then I might agree with your conclusion.

It was not a show off thing when we did it. I don't know what anyone else does, I never studied it. I know at the time, we were just horny and needed relief. It was a guy thing and we simply understood with all of us feeling the same way. I think the subject of sex (with girls) came up and it was just too much to ask us to ignore. That's all it was for us. We didn't know we would be judged for it later if it ever came up (as it is now). But no, it was not a competition thing or anything.
