Let's get it further back on track - it is boys who circle-jerk mostly, not men (that I know of - outside of bukkake clubs). I don't do it now and didn't do it more than twice as a young teenager before I "learned" not to. Depends on your point of view as to whether it ruins snack foods. There are those in the bukkake clubs for instance who will drink a glass of the stuff. The only thing the cookie or biscuit or whatever adds is a few calories. I am sure there are some who could actually do it and would say that it improved the cookie. Finally, we did it for relief, not for pleasure, however much pleasure we derived from it... and its not a matter of standing in a circle beating in time with other or anything dumb like that. I am sitting here, he's over there, that guy is over yonder, another guy somewhere else in the house... we just happened to be doing the same thing... is that any clearer (if no more acceptable...)?

Very true. There are people out there who probably enjoy a semen-covered cookie, just as there are people out there enjoy the taste of feces, Snapple, GrapeNuts or okra... Each person does have their own sense of taste.

However, I would guess that most people could read my post above in the sense of humor it was intended; an attempt to lighten up the mood that you had darkened...

But, if you want to know my feelings about it - I do, in fact, think that the cookie is ruined...

What people do for pleasure, that does not harm or disrespect others, is acceptable. NOT ONE TIME has anyone said otherwise. We have voiced our disinterest and we have been candid about our feelings regarding the practice. And, frankly, whether guys are in a circle or seated comfortably around a room, it still isn't something I'd be into. But that doesn't mean that I am against the practice - to each his own. Just, please, leave me, my furniture and my biscuits out of it.

I've been away from the boards for a while and I came back and read this thread . . . .from first to last, wondering what happened to this most pleasant of places to visit?

It would seem that all this is much ado about nothing.

Now my first reaction to that was very negative, but you are onto something here, but a bit off the mark.

I don't jerk off in front of other men because that in itself would make me (and many of them) uncomfortable. This in itself would be a neutral act though. I would be masturbating and not caring who saw me.

This is different than seeking out other men to masturbate with. The act is no longer neutral where I don't care who sees me, but active where I am seeking out other males to do this with. That to me would clearly imply bi/homosexual desires. This is especially true when you add in the fact that we ARE taught not to do that sort of thing in front of other people. If someone not only seeks out the same sex to masturbate with AND is able to overcome their shame due to their inner desires, I can't see them also being '100%' straight.
