vaginal Dryness?

Is it normal to get vaginal dryness everytime someone touches you? I can start out dripping wet but dry up with in a minute. It is rather embarassing when we are with another couple and it happens. And another thing I have found most men are afraid to use lubrication because they feel it would stop them from engaging in oral sex. If anyone has any suggestioned I would really appreciate them.

Can't help you with the going dry part. Magg ain't here right now, so I can't ask her.

BUT! I can help you with the lube part I'm partial to the "Wet" brand of flavored lubes myself. If they're scared of having oral with those. They never intended to in the first place.

"WET" is also good for putting on directly, a drop at a time. Nothing like a Cherry flavored nipple or clit

And as always, they come with a warning label of "Not intended for internal use" So I really can't say how safe it would be. Especially since you're talking about a "sugar" based product, inside. Could be kinda painful, if a yeast infection resulted from the use of it.

You might want to see a dr. about that dryness problem. Does it happen with everyone (ie. yourself, your husband) or just in swinging situations?

If it's just in swinging situations, it might be a mental thing, possibly some guilt feelings or something (you know that old religious upbringing most of us had), causing it.

If it is with everyone, it's definately something you'd want to see a dr. about and I'm sure they can help you figure something out.

As for the lube issue... Danc took the words right out of my mouth.

This happens all the time. It started after I had my second child and had my tubes tied. But I don't have insurance so I haven't been to the doctor to have it checked out.

PA_Racers - check your phone book for the local Planned Parenthood near you. They do all the basic checks and screenings that your OB/GYN would do and do it cheaper. Usually the cost is based on your income and in some cases waved completely. You usually just pay what you can afford.

I have insurance but I still go there instead of to my GYN, mainly cuz they are much easier to deal with, easier to get an appointment, etc. (specialists of any kind around here are few and far between... we actually had some GYN's telling their patients they only needed their annual exam every 18 months - because that was the soonest they could get them in).

It's worth checking into at least.

You might check with your Dr. about getting some Vaginal Estrogen Creme. I have had good luck using it post-hysterectomy. It really helps with the dryness and livin's things up down there There are also other estrogen supplements that you can purchase OTC that might help. But again, Check with your doctor before trying anything.

Had the dryness problem while going through that whole "mental-pause" thing. After a thorough exam, I was put on hormone replacement therapy, which seemed to solve the problem.

On occasion, we still need a little help, and we have found "Astroglide" to be our new best friend. It has a slightly sweet taste, so it's pleasant for both of us, and stays wet a long time. He is ADDICTED to it, because he loves the slippery feeling it creates..lol

Jo here. I have had a dryness problem ever since I had a hysterectectomy several years ago. When I am with Brian or one of our swinging friends I always have some skin lotion handy.
