Positive Experiences!

I know that I posted a positive experience a few weeks back with me starting to get out of my shell at the socials. I feel like some people hear these positive aspects when they are struggling with issues, and it helps them over come their own experiences. However, I wanted to know about the positive experiences (non-sexual or sexual) all of you have had lately. That is if you care to share.

So please tell us your most positive recent experience.

Afterall I'm a great listener.

Ask my wife, she'll probably tell ya.... something like WTF.

Recently reconnected with a high school girlfriend I had not seen for more than 40 years. She is widowed now, but was in an open marriage for many years. Imagine the possibilities if we had not lost touch. Imagine the possibilities now that we are back in touch!

Last night we went to our favorite bar. throughout the night (4-20 celebration is rather big around here) even though the bar was very crowded, I never had to wait for another drink! The Barmaid would see me coming with an empty glass and have a full one on the bar before I even reached it.

I do love that bar!

We went to a dance club/bar last Saturday for the first time in a while and were given some free drink coupons by the lovely ladies behind the bar. We had come in a bit earlier than the rest of the crowd and had a nice chance to talk with them prior to the big rush.

Mostly frequented by people about 10 or more years younger than ourselves, we still felt very much at home as everyone was having a good time. Even was approached by another couple in our age range... they felt more comfortable talking to us than the 'youngins'.

We, as a couple and individually, have become MUCH more open and talkative when it comes to meeting new folks. We can attribute most of this to the house parties we attend, where we frequently only know (now at least) about half the people that arrive.

It has forced us to become talkative... no talky, no fucky...

People who've disappeared, sometimes reappear.

A couple we'd talked to last year reappeared out of the blue. They were one of the many contacts we've made, where we all seemed to want to meet, and never did. At least with them, we had been told why, and it was a reasonable delay. We forgot all about them... then they called us a few weeks ago to re-initiate. We have a date for Saturday night. Wow, they even make plans in advance. Amazing how much I've come to appreciate that!

Also, another recent newbie couple we'd met for dinner had gone poof. He popped up yesterday with a couple of nice emails. Who knows if we will ever see them again, but I'd written them off and was bummed about it, so even getting the email was nice.

we have been having problems with our white trash neighbours going through our yard, abusing us etc...

well last night we got a call at 7pm... and were the proud new tenants of a beautiful 3 bedroom townhouse by 11pm
