Once she makes the decision to swing, how fast will she proceed?

It's entirely possible that she may suddenly meet the right people that she is attracted to and wants to speed things up. Chances are once she is finally read to go, she will be ready to go... but there's no way to know how long it will take for that to happen.

I was the initiator in our relationship, as well, but I still fluctuated between eager and hesitant. As we explored the lifestyle, there were times I felt confident and times I felt insecure with myself. That does improve with experience but it doesn't go away entirely, so don't be discouraged if she runs hot and cold for awhile. I'm sure I drove hubby nuts, initially, but I needed to work through the details in my own mind and he was completely supportive.

I trust him implicitly and feel totally secure in our relationship which is paramount for comfortable swinging.

I started this tread hoping to find answers or at least understanding, and it worked. It’s a little strange sometimes how you can be with someone for fifteen years and suddenly you figure out something about them you never really knew.

My gut feeling is that when she identifies the right couple, she’s going to hit the ground running. How do I know this?

I looked back to the night we met and I drover her home (her g/f drove her car) and I really had a lot of respect for her and NO expectations of getting lucky just yet. Besides, I knew she had a thirteen year old daughter in the house. We were sitting my pickup truck in her driveway, and necking a little. Then she looked me square in the eyes and asked, “Don’t you want to come in?” facelick I asked her if she was sure it was alright and next thing I know she nearly drags me out the passenger door with her.

She’s not a talker when it comes to sex, she’s a doer. Right now she’s not talking except when SHE wants to. Okay, I told her she runs this job, and she is.

This has been an interesting thread...we have not "swung" at all yet...you know taking it slow.

Things go back and forth at times with being ok with this or that. I know that in the end when and if it actually happen; it will be at her pace; or whose ever is slower in the room....

She was the instagator(sp?) of the whole idea...that in itself turned me on

The old saying, "It takes two to tango" pertains here, I believe. This is something that both of you want to do and enjoy. Being forced or pushed into something isn't much fun. Feeling pressured is probably the worst thing you can do to her.

If you trust her judgement in people, than trust it here as well. She'll give 'er a go once she's ready to. Maybe she hasn't met the right couple yet?
