Swing Coach....are you one?

Sure when I played baseball I had a hitting or swing coach, and I have coached base ball in the past; I dont play golf so I was really taken when the closing reply to a recent email was "we can't wait to meet you, our new swing coach".

Should I take up Golf? I just watched "Tin Cup" and Kevin Costner had a swing coach, but again different sport as the email was all about my upcoming trip to Hedonism.

All coaches get certified and have letters after their names, so I guess I need to find Swing University and get to cracking the books! I guess I can use my nom de plume, and add my favorite sites behind it. I guess since I reference this site for lots of my education, I can use SB as my title?

In the email conversations, I asked the general questions that I like to ask couples:
- Do you have any experiences?
- Do you know what your boundaries are?
- What would you like to happen? What would you not like?
- Do you and your SO communicate freely about this and what are your thoughts, concerns, reservations, ideas, feelings,.....
- Do you both write, read the emails between us?
- Are you both comfortable with the fantasies, chats, ideas and emails so far?

This was the 3rd or 4th email between us, and it wasnt in a Job Application format that had 100 questions requiring essay answers and partial credit for wrong answers, it was email correspondence with substance more than "Hows the weather?" and "How was your weekend?" Things were progressing well and conversation flowed well. They both shared ideas, and I injected a few of my own.

While I don't think I am under qualified for the job, there are certainly people who are better suited the title of Swing Coach. I mean I haven't written a book or anything!

In your current situation, do you find that you are the Swing Coach with new people or do you prefer experienced partners? Do you have a preference for one or the other?

We have never even thought about this. We both feel that we would not want to coach or be coached. It is more fun to explore and find our way together with other like minded friends.
