taking a break?

So we have been in the lifestyle about 5 years now and ever so often we find ourselves taking a so called "break" ...the thing is I hate when I see that posted on the site makes me wonder what is going on in in that persons life are they not in a stable relationship? Any time we have done it, as we actually are now, is its more out of guilt, I guess you could say, for the the time we are not spending with our kids...and to maybe spend some quality time with only each other. My question is anyone else find themselves taking so called breaks? What is the cause for this? Just curious

We don't play/party with great frequency...so perhaps we are mostly on break with the occasional party time to interrupt the break?

Primarily what has initiated the break is life...my SO works Friday and Saturday...by the time he gets home on Saturday he doesn't usually feel like going out...or if we do, it is generally an early night (home by midnight).

Mostly it comes down to preference...of all things to do...I would much prefer just to hang out with my sweetie, just the two of us since between work and school the days he's off I'm not and vice versa.

Lots of reasons Busy, health, pregnancy, family, one spouse has to work out of town, etc. So many reasons why it could be without any of them being related to the stability of the relationship

We are currently taking a break. Mr. Red has a new job and is now working
3rd shift 7 days a week. He occasionally gets a day off and we spend that time together. Once things slow down for him at work we will become active again. For the time being we prefer to save our downtime for us.

I just resent it. The most common reasons people don't get their activation emails is that they get misdirected by the spam filters. This happens quite often. If you need to activate and haven't gotten the email (or need to have it resent) you can do so at any time here:

We have not been in the lifestyle long enough to feel like we need a break, but I am sure the time will come. I don't generally draw conclusions as to why someone needs a break, because it could be many reasons. The lifestyle can be mentally and physically draining. Sometimes people just get bored and need to step back and do something different.

Regardless, I think it is a good idea to let others know you are taking a break for a while. It is simple enough to let your friends know you need a break and even why. On sites like Swing Lifestyle you can select to have your profile invisible to others as well. If I understand their system, if you have not logged in in 30 days you don’t show up on searches anyway. The only people that could find you are those that know your screen name or have friended you.
