How often do you attend church?

We've seen other polls about whether or not people are religious; however, we're curious to see how often swingers attend church? We haven't been to church in quite some time, not related to swinging. We're attending a church concert next week and it got us thinking...

peanut is a non practicing buddhist, and i follow a bit of the quaker thought (at the moment). we went to some meetings for a time, but all in all we were rather closet about the fact that we are flaming hedonists.

Never go to church, not really following a specific religion, but quite spiritual. Religious thoughts are fairly influenced by my catholic upbringing, but as with the rest of things in my life, I've made my own opinions and choices after lots of reading, discussion and thought

Regarding organized religion I recall reading a post, blog or reference from a friend (it's been awhile) something like the more you know the more you question organized religion.

My wife and I are spiritual & Christian. We both have lost interested in the church of our upbringing (Catholic). When you look at the doctrine and rituals of any church you realize that most of the "beliefs" or rules that were made just developed over time by committee as well as well as being a way to keep people under control.

where we are located.. going to any place where people of any religion congregates has a very good chance of getting bombed. so the thought of going to any place where more than 4 people gather is not a wise decision..
especially if it is a place of worship..so we stay away from all religious places.

Yeah, I could see swingers getting a visit from Ministry and Counsel (aka Elders) to express concern about their way of life. Quakers are very nice, very accepting people, but swinging would really make most Friends intensely uncomfortable.

I went to church once, but Mother Earth and Father Sky weren't there, just some guy ranting and raving about what sinners we all were. It didn't seem like fun to me.

I agree with Erotichugs. Church are dangerous. I don't think the Great Spirit likes them or trailer parks. She's always destroying both with her tornados. Some years ago a tornado skipped across Tulsa. When it was over, three churches, two trailer parks, one truck stop and one school bus dealership were all history. None of their neighboring buildings were damaged.

BTW, Erotichugs, years ago some traveling friends and I camped by a lake near Islamabad. We were invited by a group of Christian teenagers to join them in their hamburger cookout. It was fun!

Nope, being religious and attending church are two totally different things.

I don't know if I could sit through a church service now that I'm a swinger. I'd be looking at everyone thinking, I wonder if they've ever..... lol. Or I wonder if they would..... or, I wish I could.....haha. So anyways, I didn't want to bring up a religious pondering, just curious what the odds are of finding like-minded people at church. Slim to none, probably!

Anyway, this was a great thread posting question. I'd like to know, though, what other "groups" would have come up as their percentages.

I mean, what about, just as an example, Non-Swingers, College Graduates, High School Dropouts, Video Game hobbyists, Republicans, NRA members, Liberals or Green Peace members or Teachers.

I think it'd be interesting to compare.

Anyhow, I'm more spiritual than regligious, and try to be a good person, and don't consider sex to be a wicked thing that can't go along with trying to be decent, loving God and being tolerant of others.
