Not sure if this is the right forum for this, not a serious post... I was watching one of my favorite movies today, "Our Man Flint" starring James Coburn, made in the mid 60's. There's also a sequel. In this movie, he has 4 live-in "playmates". Nothing very explicit but of course they all seem like they could be sexual partners. This movie was one of the bases for Austin Powers. It made me think, whats the oldest movie you've seen that has aspects of multiple partners. In this movie it seems more poly than swinging. I know 007 had alot of women, but I don't recall him being with more than one at one time. |

The original Italian Job.When Michael Caine gets out of jail his girlfriend throws him a party in a hotel room with a whole bunch of women. Then later when she finds him with a couple more at his apartment, she throws a fit. The coming out of jail party was supposed to be a special one-time thing.

Paint Your Wagon...staring Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin...released 1969. Their characters share a wife, and it's set during the California gold rush. I'm not a big Clint Eastwood fan, but I've always enjoyed this particular movie as it's very funny. Teresa |

Bob, Carol, Ted and Alice. Also 1969. Not as old as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs though...lol! Does Wizard of Oz count? |

Well... we could go back even further than that & talk about those films which portrayed polygamists (usually the hedonist/barbaric foreigner with his multiple wives) If we want to talk literary references ... there are plenty of instances of multiple wives portrayed in the Bible (I think ...sorry, my atheism is showing & I cannot quote specific stories or passages to support my statement) |
