We are going on our first lifestyle cruise. We are hoping for a lot of great experiences. Has anyone done a lifestyle cruise before?

There have been many of these marketed over the years but very few ever actually happen, and most that do end up being a dissapointed. I know there is a big one being marketed this year and I HOPE it doesn't follow the precident that has been set.

What has occured in the past is one of three things...
the event turns out to be a scam and everyone loses their money (since you have to pay in advance - please do not send a check to any event in advance - put it in your credit card so that if something goes bad and it gets cancelled you still have a shot at getting your money back).
the event doesn't get the turnout they hoped for so they have to cancel it OR
the event doesn't get the turnout they hoped for so it goes from being a complete take-over to the swinger group sharing the ship with "vanillas" and if they are lucky they get one floor of the ship where they can run amok.

There are a few very SMALL cruises that tend to cost a lot more and typically only have 10-20 couples on a smaller scooner type boat. These typically do end up being swingers only, but with the higher cost, you've got to have some serious money to go (and usually it's a small group that gets together and goes, anyway - so if you aren't part of that group you probably won't ever even know about it).

From what I understand, this is a full size cruise ship with nothing but swingers aboard. In the "for what it's worth" department.

We are going on our fourth swinger cruise this month. This one will be the first ship take-over, so we are very excited about it. Obviously, we would not keep booking these cruises if we did not have a great experience each time.

They are all regular cruises, so you can go to the stage shows, piano bars, kareoke and disco, etc., just like on any cruise. You also get to do all you want at the ports of call. The difference is the fun, comeraderie, and of course, the sex.

Our first swinger cruise (about 300 swingers on a ship with about 2,000 guests) was identical in every way to a cruise we had taken on the same cruise line one year earlier by ourselves. This time we always had "friends" to have lunch with, sing with at the kareoke, and dance with at the disco, etc. Even though swingers may be only 15% percent of the people on board, they usually made up 80% of the people having fun. for example, on our vanilla cruise there may have been 4-5 other couples in the disco. On the swiinger cruise, the disco was packed, mostly with our group of swingers. On the vanilla cruise there may have been three women on the topless deck (with dozzens of men gawkers). On the swinger cruise the deck was so packed there was no more room for deck chairs. At the piano bar most of the revellers were the swingers. On shore excursions there are always people to go with. Etc.

For those who go on a swinger cruise only for the sex, you miss out on a lot, but you won't be disappointed. Nuff said. WEG

We signed up for a swinger cruise a few years ago that was cancelled, but we got a refund of our deposit. Otherwise, never had any problems. Really looking forward to this one.

We are also going on the cruise on April 25th out of Tampa. This will be our 3rd full ship takeover cruise. The other two were so much fun!
