Its So Exciting!!! Taking the first steps

Some of you know we are very new to this. We have a profile on SLS, and have been contacted by lots of people. Recently we got a message from a local couple, our own age, and their SEXY! I (Mr. Leo) have been messaging back and forth with them (both), and we seem to have tons of similiarities, to the point where this couple could be our twins, or dopplegangers! ---Right down to our hobbies and music tastes! It is so exciting taking these first steps, especially with another couple that is shy like us, limited in close friends like us, and generally EXACTLY like us!

Now I think this is a good thing, plus they have some experience with swinging so that will become helpful too, should we meet. Even Mrs. Leo, who hasnt been really ready to even look at SLS, has taken an interest in these twins and thinks it would be a good couple to meet!

Thats great! Unfortunantly we live in a smaller area. Not really close to any major clubs and living in a smaller area limits things.

We are in the same situation as well. My wife and I are still very new to this whole scene also have been contacted by tons of folks on SLS. We finally found a few we liked and connected with so we met for drinks. Yes it is strange and exciting for both of us. Good luck.

So how did it go?
We're worried about lulls in the conversation, 'weirdness' if we dont click....how do you leave it-in the end, do you ask to exchange numbers-- go back to the emails and exchange numbers? Im sure this is all situational stuff, but were nervous and excited!

Some people just have swinger cell phones. So you know who is calling. Also, with the e-mail addresses, you might want to use a hotmail or yahoo type for swinging. Some people like to keep part of their life separate and this one way to do it. It's up to you and your comfort level.

Lulls in the conversation? 4 people and two of them are women? Nah!

Actually we met a few couples already and each time it was a little weird at first but turned out to be fine. Hey, at the very least you get to go our and have a few drinks and meet new people. Basically what we do is leave the meeting and say we'll be in touch then my wife and I talk it over and respond via e-mail (yes, as separate account, created just for the LS) a few days later. We have given out our cell numbers also to coordinate plans. I have read one posting here that someone got upset and kept leaving nasty messages on their home number and their kids were getting them. They eventually had to change their number. I can deal with that on my cell but not on my home number.

The way we handle it is all calls go to my cell phone, which my wife sometimes has on her (she has access to everything, bet it e-mail, profiles, what have you). For each couple we add to this cell phone, we set the ring tone to a particular tone so that any time a swinging couple calls, it's that ring tone and we recognize it right away as such. If it's convenient to talk, we answer.

We also use a joint e-mail account that does not identify us.

These two things together helps keep the lifestyle disconnected from our day to day lives.

Well, the weekend came, and went. We didnt hear from them till yesterday. Hubby mentioned personal issues. We all have them, I understand, but still it is a little .... deflating ???

However tomorrow we will be hangin in Vegas, all is well in the end!
