Is voice quality important to you?

"Voice quality" is a big umbrella that covers many speech concerns. Some folks have a pleasant soothing voice while others may have a raspy or squeaky voice. The sound of someone's voice is usually distinctive and we can often identify them by their voice. We each have our own preferences for voices we enjoy listening to.

So, the question is: how important is a potential playmate's voice in your decision to play or not?

I ask this because I'm finding myself in a funny situation. High pitched squeaky voices are normally a bit of a turn-off for me. I've found two ladies that while I'm not attracted to their voices, I sure enjoy the way we interact in bed. And when they get excited, they get even squeakier. I find myself consciously trying to filter out the top couple of octaves while we're playing. I think the distraction ends up working in a positive way because it helps me stay in control of my excitement level and I can easily choose when I'm ready to "finish". That contributes to a fun time for both of us.

I've suggested that we whisper, and that works for a while, but when we get to the "Oh God!!" part, I usually have to stifle a little chuckle.

A really squeaky or high-pitched voice would be annoying to me. I'd be feeling what you are probably thinking, - "we just need to keep her mouth busy". What I've encountered more than "voice quality" issues are other issues related to their mouths...

I live in the south but I can't stand people who sound like total rednecks (the extreme southern accent with a vocabulary that shows a complete lack of education). I posted about that a bit here: Then She opened her mouth...

She was young and cute but every time anyone said anything she had to butt in with her "well this one time...." stories. Honey, you're 19 you don't have THAT many "this one time's...". That was a case where every guy at the party was trying to get her to suck his dick just to shut her up.

A nice voice can take off 30 pounds. A good vocabulary is good for another 30 pounds. 8) My wife has said the same thing about men. The most annoying voice to me is Disney's Snow White. Apparently that was a popular style in the 40s. It grates on my nerves.

I'm not sure you can tell what somebody is going to sound like when they cum from their speaking voice, though.

Voice quality and communication skills matter to us. It's one of many factors about a person that influences how people perceive each other. We have commented on it to each other about couples we meet and other couples have commented on ours (positively).

I don't really notice voices in a social setting. I do notice more when someone in a public speaking type environment has a good voice that projects well without straining or overbearing, and wish mine was better at that.

Like Julie, it's more what the voice is saying that how it sounds saying it. Total redneck doesn't sound good in any dialect. I don't mind accents, after all I have a hybrid one myself, as long as they aren't extreme to the point it's impossible to understand.

The Mrs. has an incredibly good voice, and is a Scrabble champion! (seriously, she can beat the computer on expert level!)

Men constantly hit on her on the phone, and actually try to set up dates just to meet her and check her out. Her voice really is that great on the phone! So needless to say, yes, we believe that voice quality is important to most men, and probably women too!

As far as voice quality when picking playmates, it's more about the personality than the voice iteself, at least for us.

Im going to say YES it matters.... I like to use the very BAD line I was given years ago "you can always turn off the lights and Imagine its soemone else" Unfortunately you can't always tune out the Voice that makes you want to rip out their vocal chords

I don't really pay attention to voices generally, the only time it becomes important is when I actively dislike their voice (which is rare). I can't think of anytime when a womans voice was something that made her attractive to me. For Katrina she does love a strong, deep voice and there has been one case of another womans voice totally turning her off.

In general I think that a voice is only going to affect us when it really grates on us (rare).

I used to work this beautiful woman several years ago. She had everything!!! That is until she spoke. It was the sound of her voice that just grated on you. Still makes me shiver.

I don't like very squeaky or high pitched voices. I also find heavy eastern european accents a turn off for some reason.

This has actually been mentioned by some our friends, and we joke about it together sometimes! A big part of it is that she is such a flirt, and it comes across over the phone, even when she's at work!
